I think it is very sweet of James for thanking Mariah. I think people forget that no matter how big Mariah is, she actually like to work with people before they went mainstream and big. In music for example, She collaborated with Nicki Minaj in one of her remix before Nicki transitioned to mainstream pop. She featured Jay-Z in her single before any other mainstream pop artists would collaborate with him and other rappers from the 90s. I think other than being a very talented artist herself, she really has a gift of recognizing other talent, be it in music or entertainment.

I remember 20 yrs ago hearing her say that when she first started out and was doing one of her first photo shoots, a make-up artist told her how unflattering she looked from one side and never to film that way. I was SO IMPRESSED with this entire interview! From assistance walking , to her telling James you wear this and these heels and walk!!! Funniest thing James would wear it !!! Shes modern Marilyn!! That she did not sing a note ! That she could not look more FLAWLESS! I'd guess it took 8-10 hours to just get her in that gown !!! It took her like 2 mins just to get one shoe off !!! We really were watching different interviews. She was uncomfortable the ENTIRE time and had a series of odd antics, hand placements and hair adjustments. I felt sad for her the whole time. That this is an adult woman who isn’t comfortable within herself to just sit and speak without worrying what side of her is visible. This isn’t funny but deeply troubling actually.

Let me clarify - in MARIAHS WORLD.. the reality that is very different for you and me - this is her being comfortable with her bad angle. The fact the woman literally keeps a lighting crew on standby 24/7 goes to show that it is not easy for her to give in to that loss of control to someone else. She did a commentary on her Hero video and was constantly complaining about how many right side angles there were. So for her to go on live tv, for the first time in 2 years, say “Eff it” and sit on her bad side, that’s huge. Sure, she was holding her hand to her face a few times. She’s not a normal woman. I don’t mean that negatively but we all know Mariah’s not a happy person. Period. Hope this clarifies that I meant by her being comfortable.
