See Sheldon there is a whole department in knust ( horticulture department) who have specialist in turfs( ie Dr Laura Attuah, Dr Irene Idun and others specialized in turfs. Actually they constructed the baba yara pitch during CAN 2008. The last time I checked NSA went into contract with knust to help delve more into the science of pitches for sporting activities but I don't think the resources needed to do this has been forthcoming
