Wow that looks so good. Ripple really does look like new. I love the metal surround and the doors with the perspex for the dogs is a great idea. You should make them for other narrow boaters. Like someone else commented I think Tilly the tiller cat would be a great name. Well done on what was a mammoth job.

@andreaPat70 she does, doesn't she! We are so proud of how she turned out 😊 The doors will make a massive difference for the dogs when we are cruising. I'm expecting to have to clean the perspex after every trip, though 🤣

We've been quite lucky with the weather where we are. More dry days than wet. We just forgot it was Autumn on the day when we tried to paint both sides on one sunny Sunday 😬 It was a hard lesson learned. Thank goodness it's done ✔️ 😊

Fantastic and well done you could do a technical video on each part of the process for others who might want to follow your lead May I ask what the break down in cost is and what you consider you have saved by doing it yourself Excellent finish 👍

Well, had we thought about all that before we started, it would've been a great idea! 🤪 Happy to discuss our process with anyone though 😊 Costs wise, again, I wish I'd thought of that. We didn't track every cost 😬 (missed a trick there!) We did speak to someone who was considering doing what we did as a business and was proposing £6/7k as opposed to £15-20k back to steel. We reckon ours cost us about £700 for paint, paintbrushes, sandpaper, masking tape, etc. All in definitely under £1k!
