We have started planting vegetables on the farm! We start off with my least favorite...
If you need some new comfortable footwear check out the link and use the code (TheVeggieBoys) to get 15% off!
rockroosterfoo...
We farm over 400 acres here in north east Pennsylvania, but 80 of those acres are strictly vegetables. Come take a look and see how our family works together to bring in the harvest!

I'm 67 and as a younger boy in my teens, my father had a 300' x 300' garden that he prepared with a small 8 hp walk behind tractor. We raised peas, beans, corn, and many other veggies but I had the job of hand picking the peas and corn when we sold it. Peas were hand laid in the basket, shook down to make them settle, and mounded over the top before he would allow me to move it out of the field. I can appreciate your comment about hating peas, but we raised several varieties and I thoroughly enjoyed them throughout the year after we finished the crops for the season.

It's not warm enough here to plant, unless it's indoors. Our snow just left about 2 weeks ago, but the ground is still quite cold and wet. I know my son-in-law is getting ready to start his plants inside, as he went out today to find soil for his plants to grow in. He's all gung-ho on getting a garden in this year, at their new-to-them home. lol Can't wait until you guys have all your plants in the ground, as that means it's really spring. Summer will give us veggies galore, and can't wait to watch you guys pick peas, beans, all types of peppers, etc. Have a happy weekend!!!

Eva? I have never heard of this type of potato. My favorite are Norland, and kennebec. The kennebec has always done well for me, out producing the others. Also Viking is one I like along with red Pontiac. But kennebec is still my favorite for yield and taste. My wife likes sweet potatoes but I have told her when she came to this country that they will not grow in our zone. Is it a lie? Well maybe (okay it is) but I (cannot think a reason now). Also I normally like snow peas, but I got seeds from my daughter which includes shelling pea, which are great for canning.
