Y’all nailed it, the berg is amazing at what it does. I use it about 125 and in and for jump/step putts. Thing just stops by the basket and gives me more confidence to run it. K1 soft berg is amazing.

I thought the berg was a gimmick until I found a K1 soft one at my local course with no name or number. Now it's my go to disc for 100-150 feet, it is easier to score when you constantly just have circle 1 looks because the disc just drops. ✌🏼🔥

I have 3 Bergs in my bag right now. A K1 Soft that I use for ~100 foot approach shots or real touchy approaches, a K3 hard that I throw off the tee when I want to go exactly 200 feet dead straight, and a K3 hard that I got used with a dent in it that I use as a scramble disc because it'll go 150 on a flick forehand roller out of the woods.

120-160 ft I soft forehand a K1 soft Berg dead straight. It lets me truly run the basket and stay within tap-in range I miss.

The Berg does still have the holding glide during flight, however, the entire time it flies, it's gradually stealing it's own power from the top the same way it lifts from the bottom. By the time that it has slowed in it's rotations, the Bernoulli's effect has been defeated by both the bottom and top. So, it drops from the sky. The Baobab has a similar kind of effect, however, is a beef hyzer machine with a soft side.

Love the berg as a forehand player it can take the torque yet have a flight of a slightly overstable putter one of the rare discs that you can forehand and isn’t just a super overstable disc

Berg: I always have one in my bag. Of course you discovered it's forgiveness of gentle turn/ fade; and with BH you can thump on it at 200' and not worry too much about turning over too much. BUT! my favorite is the approach

I use the berg most of my disc. But you should only use them for the right shot. The Berg is god because it fly short and it stays on the green. If you complain about its strength.. well then dont use it. We who understand the strengths will ceep throwing it. :)

You are treating it like a 1 speed zone and it's not. Forget Kastaplast turn and fade they mean absolutely nothing. The disc has no glide and is a 1 speed but turn and fade are irrelevant. I have had the same Berg in the bag since 2017. A K1 Ice Berg. It will only fade if you put it on hyzer. If you put it on anny it will ride it until it gets really slow. If you throw it straight it will go straight until it slows. It doesn't dump hard because it has so little glide that it is more inclined to just sit down instead. People keep throwing spike hyzers and it rides it but doesn't dump, so they get confused. It will hold it until it slows down and the lack of glide takes it down. I have banged the biggest C2-3 putts with spike hyzers but I know to come closer in with it so the lack of glide guides it to the basket, not the fade. Take the 2 fade more as an indication of torque resistance than actual usable fade.
