The first two of each Finale type in the list (Dead Center and Dark Carnival) are always guaranteed to be wildin’ for newcomers. The sound recognition and character distinction is a… “learned behavior.”

it ain't that difficult with players. 2 go upstairs and two stay downstairs with one filling the car with fuel from the ones the guys up top drop down. With ai it's difficult cause they'll follow one person constantly and not even pick up the gas.

Fun fact: the game is always different because of the director system, for example, if you were struggling through the last round the director will make the next one slightly easier by spreading out more weapons and pick-ups and lessening the frequency of mobs but that also goes vice versa in other words if you were having an easy time the director will make the next one harder that is what makes l4d2 the most unique zombie game in existence tips: always stick together don't spread out too far, always think of and for your allies, not yourself because l4d is a team-based co-op shooter meaning going solo will always go very bad for you unless you are a pro who knows how to cheese the source engine and mastered every glitch and timing move forward together and don't stay in one place for too long or you will be overwhelmed. Also, never forget the existence of your melee/secondary weapon it is much more useful than shoving since it actually kills the zombies that slow you down with each hit rather than just pushing them away only so they can go back to hit you again. Lastly, try to utilize your consumables more often like your throwables and healing items, but for healing items, you should only heal when your health reaches below 35 where your character slows down due to the damage, granted that can be counteracted through the use of adrenaline or pills but only temporarily unless you have a medkit, but when you do reach checkpoints make sure to top off health

@@Sodapop-rd5ku I did say you can cheese the source engine so technically you can speedrun and still live, if you know basic b-hopping and timing your melee hits along with map knowledge, it's a weird way to play the game but it is fun in its own right nonetheless l4d is a team-based shooter so I definitely don't recommend speed running unless you wanna be an absolute D to your friends besides the most fun interactions in-game happens when your friends are nearby, which is what makes l4d the best co-op horde shooter right next to payday

Don't neglect molotiving yourself and team mates if you're surrounded by a horde. You can just throw one and keep moving, let the fire do the work. Unless you're on higher difficulties, then you need to watch out for the damage you're gonna take. And like most games like this, speed is key. Speed running through the map, the game won't be able to keep up with the enemy spawns. They'll be too spread out. If you take the slow approach you're just gonna get hordes of enemies and deal with way more special infected. Playing against people is a way more difficult. They know the locations to inmediately incapacitate you. The Hunters can run up and claw you to deal some damage, then escape without giving themselves away or committing to a pounce. Boomers can and will appear immediately around a corner, often in areas where you can't even melee them away without them blowing up on you.

That's something I kept thinking about every time the AI Allies did anything stupid, or with the fact that they haven't even played the fun other Modes L4D2 has like Versus, etc. Which some can allow up to 4-8 players at once which is overall a fun experience and good for fame nights.

Connor never cleared adds in the Atrium, he just kept prioritizes carrying the gas tanks and jumping off ledges to get around faster even though it was costing him a third of his health every time and then wonders why they were struggling to beat the level. 😅

I kinda just noticed the mods seemingly makes you take more dmg and fall dmg. Because... when they were in dead center 1-2 stages, they weren't getting bodied too easily, but when they put it in, they took more dmg. I played this game years ago to notice that the fall dmg got harsher when connor first fell to the 2nd level gas portion

I think you're just imagining things. I think it'd be odd if mods were purposely making things harder without advertising it as a feature. I do know that some mods might affect the hitboxes of zombies just because the models aren't going to fully align with the game's original models. As for fall damage, we might have to account for Connor jumping off things before falling and that being the reason why he takes more damage than if he just slid off and fell.

Don't worry mouse, FF8 is my favorite game of all time. It's very misunderstood and a lot of people are unnecessarily harsh on it because they loved 7 so much. Squall is hands down the most misunderstood final fantasy MC. It's crazy how many people think he's emo or something when in reality he's literally the most straightforward "get shit done" hard-ass character they've ever made, and watching his character growth as he uncovers and comes to terms with his past over the course of the game is fantastic. Honestly just proof that most people weren't really paying attention and were just skipping dialog over and over, of course they didn't like it. Also Rinoa is best girl, don't @ me.
