Peter Pettigrew was a Gryffindor. He wasn't brave or good. Merlin and Serverus Snape were in Slytherin. They weren't evil. Gilderoy Lockhart was a Ravenclaw. I am a proud Slytherin. And I was taught that having an aristocratic honor is not in showing off your power and not in sur-pressing others to prove you strong. It is in making wise decisions, sticking up to your word and your believes, and in helping ones in need, who are less lucky then you. So I less than agree with most of the lyrics. It sounds like something that stuck up, aggressive, horribly mannered teenagers could say. I have pride and ambitions, I can manipulate people when needed, be sarcastic and adjust to the environment, but I was always taught that with great power comes great responsibility and I believe that any true pureblood would know that. This. I also think that Slytherin is what it is mostly because of being antagonized. But there is some good in it, too. I have quite a few Slytherin friends who eager for a Slytherin song.....guess they are gonna be disappointed. at least even with the stereotypes they are still one of the most popular. A fandom of loyal Slytherins who know they are better than this. Don't let this bother you Slitherens! I don't know. I scan some of these stereotypes, and I can see them as common traits in some Slytherins. But not all of them are correct, and that's what bugs me. Who in the effin hell would kick Dobby? But the insults really, really do sting. Especially if YOUR FAMILY USES THOSE STEREOTYPES AGAINST YOU AND INSULTS YOUR HOUSE CONSTANTLY. Seriously, Dad's Hufflepuff, Mom's Ravenclaw, and Sister's Hufflepuff. It mainly comes from the Ravenclaw. Lol only one person in my family's a Gryffindor! My grandma! My aunt, who I connect with very well, is Slytherin. But it's a good cause to try to stamp these videos out. The song itself isn't that bad, but the content could us some improvement.

I was sorted into Slytherin and the values the house stands for is really fitting for my personality but I can't say that I'm proud to be one. Just look at this video and look at some of the comments. It's disgusting. I don't know about you but being a Slytherin for me is fulfilling my ambitions by being cunning yes but also by being CLASSY and no, these ambitions doesn't necessarily have to be evil. I want to be great but I don't want to intentionally step on others to achieve my goal. That sorting hat is fucking biased anyway. I'm not even into Pureblood shit because come on this is the 21st century and we all know that purity isn't based on blood. People who believe otherwise, well, fucking prove it? cheyanne albert I'm ok with mudbloods, but muggles- especially the ones I encounter on a day to day basis, really irritate me and get me irritated. Also, while I don't hate those who aren't purebloods, I do like to play up the fact that I am one, just for being goofy about it. Traditions are respectable but I agree with chermia97- Its the 21st Century. People need to keep up. Ambitions also don't make one evil- more often then not they just make someone more likely to overlook their conscience. While I'm not the most kind and innocent Slytherin, saying that just because someone is a Slytherin makes them evil is so incredibly judgmental its not even funny.
