(We Ran Into TROUBLE) Installing Hooker Cast Manifolds on a 1965 C/10

In this video I show how to modify your c10 chassis to make a pair of Hooker Cast manifolds fit. This is an easy process and a great beginner welding project. Also if you buy factory downpipes for regular stock manifolds they are the perfect angle to just weld them right to the flanges these come with.

They fit perfectly on my 87 Caballero and should for all g-body cars. It is no longer a pain removing spark plugs. I used a 90 degree magnaflow elbow on the driver side, and a 45 on the passenger.

I really appreciate how you take the time to video all the small details and explain the problems. Nice job on the transmission paint job BTW. Looks 👍. Still haven’t got mine clean enough to paint. The temp was 103F in the shop yesterday and too steamy for the last several weeks to spend much time in there. Definitely feeling the pain for all the gear heads out there dealing with this summer heat.

Iroc z28 87 over the plugs....2 1/2"....They flow and they make the ram horns in 2 1/2" as well 😎

I put them on a sbc 350 and I’m having clearance issues with the spark plug boots, they touch the manifolds ☹️

I'm going to run the short plugs, I can remember the number but they work good!!!

I ordered the same manifolds and the spark plugs were touching the manifolds with no clearance to install the spark plug wire boots. Sbc Chevy from blue print motors

Are the mounts on a 73-80 the same ?

These are off my 68 c10, but you can probably use them on the 73 to 80s with a lil modification. Actually this cross member is out of a 81 that I pancaked. Ive found out that alot of this is interchangeable with little modification.

I was gonna run them but they are a lil tight to the starter. I run the ram horns on my hotrods and like them, just wanted to try something different.
