Both Pão de queijo and Tapioca are made with fermented cassava starch. Escondidinho is made with cassava. Farofa (the sand) is made with cassava flour. So yeah, a lot of cassava LOL. The pão de queijo looks to pale, it needed more cheese. I recommend trying some deep fried cassava sticks (mandioca frita) and deep fried corn meal sticks (polenta frita).

They forgot to mention to the participants that the "Pão de queijo" also used cassava. They were so focused on the escondidinho because of the cassava, but the "Pão de queijo", which would translate as a cheese BREAD and not a cheese BALL (though we also have a "Bolinha de queijo" that translates as "Small cheese ball), also uses cassava, so using the presence of cassava as a basis for their judgment of 1st place was misplaced .-. Funny was the guy calling the "Coxinha" as a titty, because he was somewhat close since it is a "Thigh", as "Coxinha" literally translates to "Little Thigh".

No Pão de queijo usa-se alguns tipos de queijo, mas é bem comum usar Queijo Minas Padrão ou Canastra até... Pode-se ter outros tipos dependendo da região onde o pão é feito. Embora ele seja tradicional em Minas Gerais e apreciado em todo o Brasil.

Exatamente. Por isso o pão de queijo aqui é totalmente diferente. Enquanto os lugares do Brasil tem quem coloque parmesão, muçarela, às vezes nem queijo coloca direito e enche de polvilho. Aqui se coloca o queijo canastra, serro, Salitre, entre outros de cada região de Minas e com fartura. Aí está a qualidade é o porquê o pão de queijo daqui desde sua origem é tão bom em MG. 👏👏👏👏🔺🧀🏞️

@@guilhermecolichini Sim, mas tem lugares que usam receitas prórpias e usam minas padrão e parmesão misturados. Eu ´prefiro o feito em Minas Gerais que usa queijo Canastra. Um queijo saboroso com sabor marcante e deixa o pão d equeijo muito bom. Inclusive em BH usam até o queijo Canastra para fazer pasteis . Aliás, pastel em BH é muito barato. Comer em Minas é muito barato.

Most of the meals in Brazil are made with CASSAVA/MANIOC base, we use it to make the Tapiocas, Escondidinhos, Farofas (cassava flour) and countless other dishes (fried cassava, cooked cassava, pirão, tropeiro beans, tutu beans, shrimp bobó etc etc).
