I'd say this discussion can be held every single week for the entire season over 8 months. I would like to think who is most valuable disregarding health. Basically thinking of Kawhi; without, they're pretty much a top 10 team in the west. With, maybe top 5 or so. Harder to quantify, but creators constantly acting like there's nothing to talk about. Make a no injuries, peak performance. Who makes the best on/off difference? Who missing 40 games may cause the team to miss the playoffs entirely? Who changes the entire gameplan because of their value over replacement? Deep 3 doesn't have the "nothing to talk about" bullshit, but I would rather hear a different discussion than the literal MVP race we just had the entire season.

I think it would be wise for future MVP lists (or any rankings for that matter) to define ahead of time what you are basing this list off, because it feels like all 3 of you are basing it of completely different reasons. One thinks it is about who is the best now, the other thinks in trade value, the next thinks about the coming 3-5 years. yeah 50+ wins, but still the 5th seed, hes a worse defender passer and rebounder, and doesn’t contribute to winning the way jokic does, all luka has is his scoring over jokic, you can list out a bunch of stuff like that for shai jokic and giannis too, and they’ll actually have defensive stats added to it, also look at lukas efficiency, it isnt at the level of giannis or jokic, hes still a top 3 player, maybe 2 if you dont value giannis’ two way play, but he didnt deserve mvp this season, he should get it next year because he showed he can bring his team to the finals
