Now it is August, and his predicted "Supercycle" has brought the price of oil down to $86. Goldman seems to have a strong bias toward predicting every commodity to go higher and higher. Of course, that induces people to invest in commodities, hopefully through Goldman. Their track record in a wide range of commodity products is not very good.

Where do you think the energy comes to make all of these EV’s? All of the metals and minerals required to produce these evs are all mined which is extremely energy intensive. Then everyone is plugging in there evs and guess where that power is coming from? Fossil fuels . Energy ignorance at it finest. Keep watching cnbc.
@WinterGK2 жыл бұрын
Its pretty sad that Americas electricity production is only 14% from renewables. Nuclear is about 20% which is the second best alternative. But the rest is fossil fuels. According to the newest research, a EV vehicle pollutes 94% less than a gasoline vehicle over its lifespan. Only the production has higher emissions, but after about 3-4 years on the road it starts to pay that back. The US really needs to start investing in green energy to run the greener vehicles of the future.
@RWZiggy2 жыл бұрын
@@WinterGK That would be great, to have plan, direction and actual serious building out. But the Biden administration has none of that, just choking domestic energy. Building out square miles of solar array in desert with storage systems, and UHVDC lines to distribute power would be awesome and could provide more than half our energy (and yes with fossil on standby to fire up if we really had a long stretch of non-sunny days, unlikely). But that would take organization and leadership. We don't have that.
