I like how woolie was very cautious and serious against non hostile piles of rocks
@sasaki999pro2 жыл бұрын
in DS3 there are like two vital NPC's that are disguised as inanimate objects in the world and you can EASILY lose out on an entire covenant AND even an ending to the game without them. Woolie is right to be cautious. Even something as simple as a binary dialogue option can decide wether or not a vender NPC thats important to you lives or dies. It's kind of Fromsofts asshole signature to designing side quests. I was 60 levels in before I realized I could get my ash spirits upgraded because I wouldn't tell Roderika that the Blacksmith saw potential in her because I was terrified she was going to arrogantly run out and get herself killed. And trust me those events DO still happen in Elden Ring. I'm sick of your BS Mr. Hidetaka-san.

12 hours in on PC, the stutters were always manageable so far excepting the Stormhill Shack, where I dropped to like 15FPS for a good while. I think the wind in Stormhill makes performance shit itself. Game stutters hardest when visiting new areas but nothing too serious. It really needs patching though. It hasn't spoiled the experience for me but I can see how it might for others.

Can the lab really be open if the whole game IS the lab? 🤔 Also 1:12:07 needs reiterating cause it's starting to piss me off too. Everyone has their own pace. You spent the money on this game, you can enjoy it however you want and however long you want. Everyone and their fucking grandmother is streaming this game. Don't want to see Woolie bash his head against an optional boss for half an hour? Okay bye 👋🏼

It has pissed me off for years. Sure Woolie can move slow through games, but thats one of the things I like about him dammit.

I’m 23 hours into the game and haven’t hit Margit yet, and I think that’s the best thing about the game so far; the sheer, unadulturated freedom to explore whatever and wherever the hell you want for as long as you like, content with the knowledge that the main scenario is always gonna be there whenever you feel like getting around to it.

Game is gonna be 100+ parts anyways.

Yeah like.. I guess ppl are either keen to see more of the game (non-players) or keen to see the boys encounter something cool they saw (players). In my book, it's no excuse. Nothing wrong with spoiler free advice but if the pace is bugging ppl maybe they need to learn to step away. Or just wait for YT when they can skip as much as they want!

As a great sword user those fights against human sized bosses are so much easier when every hit of yours causes interrupting stagger.

I've been playing so much, even with all the PC foibles. My friend and I actually managed to skip the tutorial entirely and have also been going around the map backwards unintentionally 😂

Chat: "Good try, please move on" Woolie: What if i said i can do this? Reggie: There is gonna be a lot of that huh? Woolie: Yup. Spoiler alert: Woolie couldn't do it. >30 minutes later when Woolie realises how much time he wasted. Woolie: I took a second taking a detour to that optional boss. [20 second pause] I dont mind. I hope you guys dont mind either. I like those challenges. [20 second pause]. Of course anyone who minds can fuck off but i'm trying to be nice here. You can politely fuck off if you dont wanna see me.

I love the question of Bloodhound (I'm only half-hour in so if he says it I sorry for preaching to the choir), where he forces you to take very close sidesteps instead of rolls because his recovery is so fast. He's a harsh lesson in patience, humility, and telling you that dodge rolling alone is not enough. Also his long wide swing is VERY misleading in its range. I haven't worked out when jump attacks are safe but even with 100% shields it's brutal. Tempted to drop down to a light load so I can recover quickly. Shields are not ideal but also not bad here, either. You can't block everything because the blood loss pops. The side swipes are still annoying, trying to stay close enough to proc #2 swing but far enough not to give him overhead so I can safely jump.

SPOILER BELOW: How to get the Weapon art of your equipped weapon. Lemme know if you want me to rid of this. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > This was part of a few advice compilations but it's invaluable for any one-handers! Find the Warmaster and purchase the "No Skill" Ash of War, so you can place it on your shield. This removes the parry and places the equipped weapon's skill in the skill button. Such a big help.

I know it's what to be expected from Fromsoft but the Bloodhound Knight's fight ost already sounds so cool... Elden Ring's ost feels more triumphant than its predecessor. i can't wait to inject the whole album to my vein

It feels like a fusion of Dark Souls and Bloodborne, the overworld theme sounds Soulsy and that Bloodhound boss (understandably) makes me think Bloodborne. Of course it's obvious but it's still so nice to see (hear).

So just started watching this lp but I really hope Woolie learns that heavies and weapon arts are way more incentivized in this one due to stance breaking and big damage, the old r1 spam just isn't as effective on bosses as picking your spots for big moves

First I could watch a hundred episodes of this but second I think woolie is forgetting that he has magic. He casts in the beginning but has time to set up more spells

Is everyone in the comments on Woolie’s videos always this critical of the way he plays? I saw the same shit in the Disco Elysium videos. If you think he’s shit why do you even waste your time watching him?

So, how are players expected to take that one boss down without magic pot shots or just waiting for its laggiest attacks? I have a hard time believing the devs intended players to react to those lightning quick combo animations.
@UnlimitedBick2 жыл бұрын
If you're talking about Darriwil, you can go hear a wolfman "howl" at the ruins in the woods to the north, ask santa about the howling you heard, he gives you a snap emote. When you snap below the wolfman, he jumps down and tells you he's looking for Darriwil. And then you can summon him in the evergaol, and he has huge stun properties.
