What has become of the Republican Party of Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Dwight David Eisenhower, and, as a native Iowan, a native of the Hawkeye State, for Governor Robert Ray? The four I've mentioned were statesmen. They knew when to compromise, and when to stick to your guns, both of which are required in political office. They took the time to read the United States Constitution, the Declaration Of Independence, The Federalist Papers, and even the Articles Of Confederation.
