What a pity that on Saturday evening we could have declared. If Surrey the forfeited their first innings and Essex forfeited their second innings it would have meant Surrey would be set 400 ish to win and this would have made an exciting last day for the fans and probably more gate receipts for the club, instead of a rather boring draw. Neither team had anything to gain or lose by making it more exciting or the fans.

"We're going in the right direction". Hmm. Are we? There needs to be a bit of rethink for 2025 if we're to compete with Surrey etc. Too many didn't turn up this year. Westley must know this, he ain't naive.

Absolutely delusion if we think we are going in the right direction?? Our batting is far too inconsistent, still need another opener to partner Elgar. Walter has not had a particularly good red ball season and Rossington has had a really poor season. Will Westley step down? Lots of decisions to be made……

@@TheSuffolkCrunch because in my opinion he’s had a really poor year as ‘captain’ some very poor decisions with team selection and in particular bowling changes. The body language from some of the players towards the end of the season was not great either.
