Yep, it is the same in US , Hindus are great people to have in your communities. They are very kind and respectful. Same for our Mexican-American immigrants, most are conservative catholics. They are great people , very kind and helpful to neighbors. Their children are always well behaved, and most go to Catholic schools . I'm not Catholic or religious fyi. Some cultures do really well in the US . We obviously have Muslims in the US , but white Christians/ Jews and non religious Americans, patriotic Americans out # them .

Most of my family who fought in the 2nd WW fought on the beaches of France to free us and Europe from invaders my father in law still had horrific nightmares until he died in his 90's because of what he did and had seen. I often wonder what I could say to him and his fallen friends about the beeches in France how an invasion of the UK is happening everyday, I could only say "Sorry we let you down we tried to fight peacefully but were pushed down" they are the one's I feel for they gave us everything we gave nothing back.

Orwell was dodgy, part of a secret society, worked for BBC, Eton , police, had no empathy for ordinary people, where did his money come from,to pose as a tramp and write books, much more to him , than seems apparent at first glance xxxxxx

I respect that your guest recognises his Indian heritage, and I’m sure it’s part of his identity in a strong sense. I feel us English aren’t allowed an ethnicity. We’re not allowed to be recognised as indigenous peoples. We not allowed to hold onto our identity.
