mangocatcher: because tony blair changed the requirements for social housing from being a standard 'waiting list' (i.e. first come first served) to a 'need based' list (i.e. those most in need go to the top of the queue)... so that means pretty much everyone from the rest of the world is 'higher in need' than anyone from the UK... now think of this: keir stalin has announced plans to 1.5million houses over the next 5yrs (so 300,000 houses per year)...the waiting list for UK social housing stands at 1.2million...even if two-tier keir manages to build 300,000 houses per year for the next 4yrs, those houses are already accounted for...

Most of my family who fought in the 2nd WW fought on the beaches of France to free us and Europe from invaders my father in law still had horrific nightmares until he died in his 90's because of what he did and had seen. I often wonder what I could say to him and his fallen friends about the beeches in France how an invasion of the UK is happening everyday, I could only say "Sorry we let you down we tried to fight peacefully but were pushed down" they are the one's I feel for they gave us everything we gave nothing back.

Orwell was dodgy, part of a secret society, worked for BBC, Eton , police, had no empathy for ordinary people, where did his money come from,to pose as a tramp and write books, much more to him , than seems apparent at first glance xxxxxx

I respect that your guest recognises his Indian heritage, and I’m sure it’s part of his identity in a strong sense. I feel us English aren’t allowed an ethnicity. We’re not allowed to be recognised as indigenous peoples. We not allowed to hold onto our identity.
