Hey chuck...that is the hotel I stayed at, songkhran 2018. Sandy and I have reservations in February there. We did the night market but not the restaurant so we will give it a try. Can't wait for upcoming videos. We will do Phimai then Chiang Mai, Phuket, Koh Samet then back to cold Pennsylvania weather. Say hey to Joe and tell him he looks like a retired firefighter :-).

Away from western world junk. Can not wait.

Hello from cold and rainy Denmark, my wife and me will come to Thailand in Jan. Feb. My wife is an Isan woman, from Nong bua Lam Phu, Suwanna khu ha. I'm not so happy to go to her village as nobody can speak a single word of English. THe food is not awesome as I don't like pla ra and chilli. In her village it is not possible to get a simple burger, so I have to eat the local food which is burning with all the chlli they put in. So we normally go to a hotel in Udon Thani, so I can get some decent farang food. But in all yuor videos you always can find some nice places to get burgers and farang food. Do you know some places in Su wanna khuha with farang food restaurants.
@notime2bsad5 жыл бұрын
There should always be some good bbq chicken or pork. You could stock up on grilled cheese and burgers at 7-11 store them in a fridge and heat in micro...... Udon has Everything. Also villa market in Udon has many packaged farang food you can buy to carry with you. GL
@alexolesen5 жыл бұрын
@@notime2bsad Hello Chuck and Paige, thanks for your answer, I know we can get everyting in Udon, but in my wife village they do't even have a 7-11, they have some small shops where they mainly sell lao kai and beer.

It is no worries my friend I get made fun of all the time not just in speaking English or Thai. Writing too. I always say I am just wondering around simple minded. I no longer care to be correct.. Also if you don't mind me being sarcastic than don't correct my on little things that don't matter. 😎
@gorillapancake5 жыл бұрын
@@notime2bsad Never thought this could to turn into a potential spat, but I think language does matter. You say you don't care to be correct, but I think you do. I respect and admire your Thai speaking ability. You can tell it's something you care about and want to excel at. I was only trying to help, pointing out a common oversight. It obviously came off the wrong way. If you're happy to snap at constructive criticism with an unwarranted level of unpleasantness, that's disappointing and on you. I know this conversation is beyond silly now, so I'll leave it there.

You and Joe pronounced พิมาย Phimai correctly as Pi-Mai, not "Fi-Mai" as written in English. The spelling of "Ph" instead of "P" for the sound of "P" "พ" is advised by the Office of the Royal Society. This rule is widely enforced as seen in most names of persons and places. It is confusing not only for foreigners, but Thais as well. You guys are doing better and better. ... Regarding the repetitiveness, nothing is repetitive since this is your own daily EXPERIENCE and OBSERVATION. Once details are observed, and shown or pointed, the same MARKETS or the same TEMPLES are NEVER the same. Yes, the enjoyment is had by most, if not all, of your reviewers. This is not a catalog of tourism promoting office. This is THE journey of THE person.
