As a Neutral, Rico Lewis was the only player for City trying to do something, the reason he had to pass back and side so much is because your players don't show (FODEN). Funny even talking about this because City are notorious for playing side and back passes. I saw Rico looking for someone to make themselves available and when he had to just pass it back, he was asking them, his arms were in the air asking. I don't know what Alan is talking about. Palmer is making Foden look like he's Sunday League. Palmer went to Chelsea and single handed carried all of those overpriced supposedly "World class" players on his back. Foden still looks like a child who doesn't want to do anything wrong in case Pep shouts at him. I feel like Foden will never fulfil his potential, Pep has moulded him his entire professional career and indoctrinated him into this system. It's no surprise he is useless for England, he is programmed to that system, his brain will not allow him to try something creative on his own. I am worried what he will do when Pep is gone because I think he might go the same Mount did.

Rico Lewis isn’t City standard. He’s short and weak, gets dispossessed multiple times, doesn’t create and this season has gotten exposed defensively. He’s the perfect example of a player taking several touches on the ball but don’t do anything impactful with it.

we were talking about selling kev and people were moaning. Last season after he came from injury every game he started he looked like he couldn't run. He could not look intense in back to back games. We dug our own grave on this one. We should have had understudies instead of completely depending on our players pulling of miracles. Pep has been pulling rabbits out of hats and we got complacent with the transfers

Pep's system is broken every time he doesn't have a good CDM (Rodri). A CDM that switches those back passes to forward passes, breaks down counter attacks etc... That is the broken part, fix that the system works.

Love Pep, but I’ve been calling out his ooor decision making since last season. And herein lies the problem: for the bulk of the fanbase, panel included, they have a blind spot for Pep. Yes we can all say how this player did this and this one didn’t do that, but the main culprit that undergirds most the issues we’ve been seeing for the last 10 weeks has been Pep. Period. There was ZERO reason why it made logical tactical sense to play Walker, let alone a back 3 in possession and a suicidally high backline vs the best and most inform team in the PL and the CL at Anfield no less. (If you think I’m wrong, I would love to hear an explanation as to why.) Yet again, that’s what Pep did. Where’s the outrage and the questions for Pep? Playing young Rico in the midfield when he’s proven he’s simply not strong enough to an adequate job, Pep persists with him there and of course he’s bullied and overrun nearly every time he gets the ball (that is if he’s not passing it back or having it taken from him). Not starting KDB or at a min, giving him a solid 30min or so to play was criminal. Man’s been holding bench for so long, I sometimes wonder if he’s even part of the team. Keeping Nunes at LW when he looked like Bambi on ice and then finally changing him deep into the 2nd half?! WTF is Pep doing? It’s like he’s purposely doing the complete opposite of what makes logical objective sense. I would be fine if this was a 2nd or 3rd or even 4th time in a row Peps done this. But he’s been doing for months and every time it simply isn’t working and yet he persists which is quite literally the definition of insanity. And yet where are the City fans holding Pep accountable to the same standard they do our players? Mostly crickets and the ones who do ask questions are accosted by the happy clapper brigade. We need to wake up like Pep needs to wake and hold everyone accountable for their loss poor performances or it will just continue. Ps. Ake MOTM. We need to keep him fit and on the LW. No more of the Gvardiol bombing down the left and driving into the opposition 18yrd box until we have a solid defensive setup and our defense acts like a single unit likes it’s done for years. But that won’t happen, Pep will continue to do the same thing and expect a different outcome. SMH

Wish I could pin comments myself I’ve been saying this word for word for a year now pep and his decision making is just awful and needs to be called out but people won’t. What really makes me angry is how they all think signings will change anything when it’s not just the players messing up right now

And I’ve been saying this, like you, since Pep’s obsession with the wingback system which was poor as well as the new slow buildup which allows the opposition plenty of time to completely reset their lines making it more difficult for us to score. Why? Bc all the space gets sucked out of the box that Haalnd would normally flourish in (RM game at home exemplifies this perfectly and both games Peps poor tactical decisions - Akanji as a WB playing vs Vini Jr above the 1/2 way line? No…nothing could go wrong with that 🙄). And you’re spot on about the fanbase. They’re terrified to call Pep out. LB has gotten a little more vocal but still quite tacit but Nobbins has been calling Pep out since last season so fair play to him. But to your point, it’s not enough as everyone is afraid to say anything. But you’re not the first person to comment like this. I’ve been getting more ppl saying similar things, so it must mean that more people are waking up to what you and have been seeing for a while. Of course, I still get the City happy clappers giving me stick but when I ask them to defend their positions, I get no replies. In any case, I’m glad we’re both on the same page. Love Pep, truly do but it’s like he’s lost the plot and I have no idea what the F he’s even thinking anymore as it seems to run contrary to objective analysis and logic. The only thing I can think of is Peps ego and a dash of hubris is what’s gotten him refusing to adapt; refusing to do what he did in the treble season…adapt to the teams we play and the player we have. Praying he comes around soon…🤞

I kinda saw Rico potential in the mid against Liverpool in 2nd half, i swear he just needs support and confidence to go all out and score too... I think he'll be a better midfielder compared to Foden

Maybe even Akanji as RB then Rico bench for now, but def no more midfield please. I do think he’s played well the times he’s been RB, especially compared to the Kia it’s that Walkers been, no?

Ederson was partially responsable in the two Feeyenord's goals one he should've come out faster as soon as he saw Guardiols bad pass to him and the other he should've played it smarter and not just dived trying to head the ball away from the Feeyernord player, surely Pep saw that way too and gave Ortega a chance this match in which he played really good , the penalty wasn't his fault , it was Walker's fault for not playing it back to Ortega instead .

The reality is your team is spent ... told you this a year ago that the end is near for this group of players ... you don't get more than 5-7 seasons out of a world class team before major surgery is needed to the team .. fergie had to build three sides to stay dominant .. the great chelsea side of cech lamps terry drogba ashley cole only lasted 6 seasons .. wenger had to build 2 teams to get 3 prems over a 10 year period .. anyone with any ball knowledge hould have also seen this coming ... the only thing we can all say is the drop off has hit harder than expected ..

Has Pep taught the PL how to play his system without having a next plan/system. I get the players are struggling and I'm definitely not saying Pep out or anything as he's the best manager we will probably ever have but other teams have been trying to either emulate or cancel out our system for years. Maybe it's time Pep came up with a new plan for what we have? Playing sideways and backwards only works if you definitely keep the ball if you do it and lose the ball in these positions you are effectively helping the opposition counter.
