So excited for you! As someone who has moved further and further out from a city (and got the bigger car bigger house etc as our family grew) I never looked back with any regret only nostalgia for the passing of time!

Thank you ❤️ I think that’s exactly what it will be for me- nostalgia but no regret

I grew up in NYC and lived there my whole adult life. I started hated it during Covid & especially when we started thinking about children. We moved to New Hampshire and I can’t believe what we missed living in that dump. The only thing I miss about NY is the food. Nothing else.

Glad you’re loving New Hampshire!

Feeling this post. I left the city after 20yrs and fled to the south during the pandemic. Unknowingly, I was leaving my lease and leaving the city permanently. It has been SO hard in the burbs but also, the space with children is so much more comfortable.

How exciting for you guys! New challenges but an amazing new adventure 🤍 It sounds like you have put so much care into this decision. The hardest part is always trying to decide, now you will most likely find that you just get happier and happier with your new life and feel like it’s the greatest choice you could have ever made 🤍 Wishing you so much success and happiness xxx

I'm excited to hear you're planning to homeschool. My oldest is just a little younger than yours so I've loved following just behind on this journey and it'll be fun to keep that up as we consider it!

You can always come back too. It was the right decision for my family to leave NYC for the suburbs when my oldest daughter 2. But was also the right decision to move back here when she was 10, and her little sister a year and a half. We missed the city, it was truly engrained in my daughter’s roots, but needed a change for a bit.

That’s so true! Sometimes I worry while it will be better for them now when they’re teenagers they will resent it 😅 luckily we are renting out our place so can always return!

I can totally relate to you! We live in Munich and prices are so crazy right now, I always dreamt of a bigger kitchen and a yard but it’s not going to happen any time soon (or ever 😅) so we have to find another way!

It’s hard! I love city life but it’s cruel how expensive it is!

So exciting for you! Could you make a video about homeschooling? We are thinking to do that with our little girl. Not sure still so hoping for some content to cover that.

Thank you! I definitely will! We are still so early on our journey on it since he isn’t school age yet that I haven’t shared much but it will definitely be coming. We’ve done a lot of research and are very excited!

We're in a similar situation in Sydney, Aus! Very expensive here with a 2 year old and 2 week old so thinking of moving interstate. Also: really keen to hear more of your thoughts, etc on the home schooling and why you are going that direction? Something I'm definitely contemplating with my little ones!

It’s so challenging with city prices! I plan on sharing more as we get closer with homeschooling. There are so many reasons we’re excited about it!

It isnt the first American family i've seen that decides to do home-schooling, something unusual in Europe. I am curious... Is it because public schools are bad? Is it because of school shootings?
