Rae I see Jesus carrying you in your deepest hours. I and hubby have been there. crying is a cleansing feeling. We moved from Missouri to New Mexico with a station wagon and the smallest U haul truck with 2 dressers a bed a small deep freezer our clothing kitchen essentials and 4 plastic chairs we used inside our home for a couch I walked to work only one car. We only had $1,000 to start over. at 44 years old and 49 we weren't young, but we had to move back to our 3 acres and beat up home that never sold we have been back 20 years God is amazing on his promises

Many hugs to you two. This is a difficult time, one of transition and uncertainty. Like you said though Chad, God already knows where He wants you and that's where you will end up. I was born and raised in Michigan and never thought about leaving but when I was 29 and fresh out of Nursing School, God moved us to Texas because here, I could start working right away, before passing my boards. My husband had been laid off from Ford Motor Company and they paid him to retrain himself so he went to heating and air conditioning school. We have been here 42 years now (in Texas) and I love it, it is where I will finish my life. God knew my second husband was here when the first one didn't work out after 25 rough years. Hubby #2 and I have now been married 22 years and it's been good. Thank you Lord!

This news is heartbreaking after All you’ve done to make it’s your home but God is in control. When HE says move we have to be willing to Trust and move. Went through having to move in 2022 from a home I was very attached to in Oregon. Taxes, the rise in the cost of utilities, and the violence had pushed us out. Since my husband passed away, I have gone through two moves in the last 8 years. Broke my heart to leave both places, but I had prayed about selling both properties, and both times the properties sold to the first one who looked at them. God knows what He is doing in our lives. He opens and closes doors so quickly, sometimes, that it is miraculous. If it is His will, it will work out quickly for you, I believe.I cried when I left both places, but God is good, ALL the time. Remember your home isn’t gone, just a structure. Home is where you are happy together where the family lives and loves…God bless in all your decisions, and May He work everything out for y’all according to His will.

I am going to surmise that the trauma is still too raw from the fire for the family to feel entirely comfortable on the property. (I am sure they are considering all the kids feelings over the fire.) There has been many starts on the property that didnt play out as expected and I am thinking God is redirecting them. Also Rae's momma may need them more now than the porperty does. I am praying for heavenly guidance and understanding so they may peacefully move onto the next great adventure.

Well, I'm still in shock, haven't slept all night. So sudden with so much accomplished. Was it the Clayton home? The investigator? The fire? What?! Just so you know, I'm not planning to break in to your property. I'm just a 74 yr. old single mom whose been through some stuff myself. What led me to begin watching when Chad was quitting his I. T. job making another change in his life back then. I began watching homestead farms for the interactions with people taking on something I would have loved doing. But as single mom of 2, my dreams did not go there. Then unbeknownst to me, I lost my mom 1st, moved home to care for my dad & buries my sister to Lupus, then Dad just a yr. ago to Alzheimers & less than a yr. this Oct. I buried him Sept. a yr. ago & my baby brother this past Oct. In the midst of all of it, I had emergency back surgery. It did not go well. After hospitalization 5 times since surgery, I was moved by ambulance back to Atlanta to live with my daughter & husband. I was mortified from all the firsts, & giving them to God. I may be preparing to leave this earth now, but if so, it's God's will. Yes, we are all struggling. He's got your backs, just as he has mine. I had to sell my home I inherited from my Dad in order to be placed in a senior retirement home way before I had time to prepare for. You are not alone.
