Keswick Alhambra Cinema was one of the highlights of our stay, such a beautiful cinema that has been lovingly restored by the locals of Keswick.

I remember our daughter Laura packing a back pack before she went to Australia for a month. It was quite a challenge ! She had a fabulous time though . She sky dived , drove a 4x4 in a desert and swam wearing anti jellyfish suit. I’m sure you will both do loads of exciting things too. Xx

Keswick is always on flood alert, even in the summer. It's a nightmare of a site, better off at their Braithwaite site, much nicer, quieter and better access to walks.

We so love your videos and the fun you always have together! Will you be at the NEC in February or are you already down under? We’re going to the show for the first time (coming over from the USA) . Retiring back home to the UK in 2026 and hoping to purchase a new Carthago! My wife typically wants the smallest one but I’m 6’3 and worried about bed length, space to sit etc. Finding a balance between vehicle size and comfort is going to be very critical! Thanks for the lovely comment Ivo & Rose, yes...in February we'll be in NZ, hopefully you'll find your perfect size at the show, I think all the Carthago's have decent size beds, even for 6'3" tall but if you go for a smaller one the kitchen area and Fridge will be smaller. @@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures quick question….we really like Katy, the model you have but, if you were going to buy another motor home, would you be comfortable getting one the same length or would you be tempted to go slightly shorter and narrower? Thinking of single track roads in Britain especially! Also, would you go for separate shower and bathroom or are you happy with your current layout? I know this is so personal but you have spent a lot of time travelling so know how things work! Thanks!

We wouldn't get one narrower or smaller unless we were going really small i.e. van conversion (Malibu )to allow us to get into carparks. It depends also how much you need the garage, we do for the bikes and all Carthago's come with big garages anyway. The width of the UK roads has not really been a factor for us, we find we either fit past or wait for a gap, I can understand uk roads may seem narrow though compared to the USA! We would prefer a separate shower but it's not a game changer. Off out now for NYE's drinks but feel free to ask more questions and I'll get back to you over the next few days😀

Just before Michelle's backpack cover started coming off I had the thought of it turning into a kite. Did you look up what the wind speeds were that day?

It’s was surprising how much the wind increased with a relatively small amount of height gain, based on what we’ve experienced before that was about 50-60 mph, impossible to continue, cheers…Andy&Michelle

Only one thing to say to you guys..."WALKING POLES".they.would helped on the windy climb and decent that day..."WALKING POLES" never leave home without them!!.❤️🇬🇧

We do have walking poles and took them out with us a few days earlier in Castleton (not in the video) agree they make a big difference, not sure whether we'll get to take them to NZ next month though, packing space is at a premium 🤣 Happy New Year...Andy&Michelle

Happy New Year to you both from Neil and Claire . We do watch your content which gives us lots of hints and tips particularly because like you two we spend most of our time switching between sites and aires utilising the stops for hiking and mountain biking . We may even bump into you one day . Just a quick question , do you carry snow chains and can you recommend any . We are back to Europe Feb til May crossing into Northern Spain from Western France then around to Portugal onto Southern Spain before crossing back into Western France and home .

Hi Neil and Claire, Happy New Year😀 We do carry snow chains during the winter months, it's mandatory in some places, not sure about Western France but they are good to have for peice of mind.
