It's okay some people just want to get you exactly what you want others get annoyed and complain maybe you heard "veggies" instead of "would you like some veggies?" either way the answer would still be "yeah or yes" it's just misunderstanding most of the time it's not biggy bud :)

Its a subway thing, they have specific tools for different things, some have this double blade chopper thing. Some subways don't chop the salad entirely.

Once my manager had to leave the store for a personal reason, and only a new employee was left working alone. They ran out of something, and there was some in the back but they didn't know how to cut it. 😂 The customer even started complaining so my employee called me and I had to tell her how to comp a meal from 50 miles away

When I go to subway and I listen to other customers order sandwiches I always feel sad for the worker at how bad they are at communicating. But also I manage a pizza shop so I know first hand how bad people are at communicating but also I gotten really good at forcing them to tell them what they want. It's almost an art.

@Juan Entwistle usually I make customers tell me their vegetables while their sandwiches are toasting so they have to think about it, instead of waiting until the last second to decide. also if customers cant decide on the type of meat I'll ask what they usually get and make similar recommendations

I wish I could be so enthusiastic about working in a sub shop like this. Every time a customer comes in I cringe, and they almost always find a way to be annoying. For example, we are a Canadian brand called Mr. Sub, and we get a lot of people who are used to subway. They'll ask for oil, a turkey bacon, Italian bread, Italian herbs and cheese, chicken teriyaki, etc. We have none of these things. We have white bread, but for some reason even though Italian is white at subway, they always want our Mediterranean greek, which has the herbs Edit: they also ask for Swiss, which we don't have

This is frustrating. The constant having to check in with customers would be maddening to me. And what is with that salad? Its like the most labor intensive salad ever made. They need to give you better tools than a freaking bowl and pizza cutter. If you are just gonna chop it up anyway, why not use machinery? Man. I admire your patience.
