I've always thought that you are each solid human beings. I admire you tow for being friends before anything else. My 68 year old friend who held an incredibly happy marriage before her husband passed, said that friendship is the most important value in a marriage because that friendship will push you guys through the toughest times. Another older friend of mine recently celebrated her 50th anniversary (!) She said the secret to their marriage was that they never fell out of love -at the same time. Meaning, they had to take turns carrying the weight. That made so much sense to me and I am so grateful for that REALISTIC advice. I was in a very dependent relationship for 10 years at a very young age. I have been single for 5 years. I am 30 right now. I think that being in our 20's (self development phase), constantly online (comparison) and with "the same partner" (familiar) can sometimes make us doubt if there is more, different or better suited lifestyles out there.. But honestly, there isn't. Sometimes that adventure/potential/ambition/ecstasy/breakthrough we look for is not out there. It is all inside us. We know we are truly just looking for the highest, purest version of ourselves and our partner has NOTHING to do with that. They are just a witness to our journey. Interesting how we are growing up with the phenomenon of social media and learning to control it- rather than letting it control us. I'm sorry if (and when) the internet platform has interfered/corrupted the innocence of your relationship (by injecting our opinions and unsolicited advice lol!) but you guys have been so smart and are looking great. Balance and friendship is what I can see from here in you two, congratulations for that. All the best
