For anyone who doesn't know: Cleopatra was ethnically Greek. She was part of the Ptolemaic dynasty of Egypt which was established due to the conquests of Alexander the Great. In those days, the ruling class of Egypt were Greek conquerors. Cleopatra herself was 1 generation older than Jesus. She lived closer in time to us now than she did to the building of the pyramids. Edit: because I've seen it in the comments... In modern days whether or not Macedonians were Greek has become a political matter, but back then, Macedonia was very much part of the Greek world just as Athens, Corinth, & Sparta were... You'll find Athenian writing calling them barbarians, but then again, you'll find Athenian writing calling _all_ of the other Greek powers barbarians. Political standing aside, certainly it was ethnically, culturally, & linguistically Greek. Edit: typo

@@needamuffin Well yes, but no. She was arguably an heir to the Ptolemaic throne (though even that was contested by her brother). However, the Ptolemaic dynasty was an imperial colonial dynasty. Calling them "true Egyptians," is kind of like calling Joe Biden a true Native American chieftain.

Making egypt greek land, through alexanders conquest. With the fall of the macedonian empire ptolomy i claimed the divided territories now know as egypt as his own (as many of alexanders generals did). Legally speaking she was the rightful heir to the egyptian throne. Regardless of the morality of the situation. Also, being born in egypt as something like a 10th generation makes her more egyptian than most modern day americans are to being american.

Little bit of history knowledge I have, Hercules is actually the Roman name, the original Greek name was Heraclese. And cleopatra was of Greek decent, relatively inbred, and was the first in her line of rulers to actually do anything for Egypt exept maybe the first in the line. Se was also proclaimed to be very beautiful and well educated. She was also the fist in her line to know the Egyptian language.

@@williamriveley3945 it’s really not that deep dude. Takes less than 30 seconds to open an app and find their profiles if you’re really that interested. It’s not about not wanting more followers in those platforms. They just want to point you in the direction of the platform they use and gain money from most, where those social medias are listed. And to be honest, I actually prefer it that way. A too cluttered description is a bad description.
