best thing about this is I think this is at the Apollo. he did a few shows there. not sure if this is one, but the background looks right and the audience is mostly black folks. super fucking funny set, also how he met his wife Nia lol.

Everyone knows in my neighborhood if you see someone with dirty black Air Jordan's walk the other way. 125th St is the hub of Harlem. For many years taxi's would never go into Harlem, and if you said you were going to Harlem many would refuse to drive you there. Bodega's are Spanish convenience stores (which often used to say "Bodega" on the outside sign). Such store were rarely if ever seen outside of Spanish or black neighborhoods. St. Nicholas Avenue (St Nick's) is another major street in Harlem. Adam Clayton Powell was a major black organizer and congressman in Harlem from the 1930's until 1970. Danny Glover is an American actor that doesn't have a street named after him in Harlem, but Malcom X (boulevard) does.

Nice to see another Bill Burr reaction! I just saw him in a horror-comedy movie called "Zombeavers" a few days ago. He and John Mayer (yes, the musician) play two guys transporting barrels of toxic waste that ends up creating the zombie beavers who go on to menace some college kids at a cabin in the woods by a lake. It was a lot better than I expected it to be!

I was living in the South (Southern part of America) in the 70's and 80's and we NEVER went into the white part of town, and conversely, they would NEVER come into our (Black) part of town. It was dangerous to do so.....

If you go above 99th street ...... You are in some real deal stuff. His wife now is Nia. Her dad was the talent booker for the Apollo Theater. They married and have two kids now and live in Los Angeles area. He one of the first pioneers of Podcasting. His podcasts are so great. Nia comes in and busts his balls every now and then and it is epic. They have KZbin videos of Bill and Nia going at it. She is not very white cultured and it is funny as hell.

I think you guys weren't fully in the loop on this one because you guys aren't from America. You guys do really well ussualy for picking up on American jokes and references but I think this might not be as funny if your not from America and know how shit is here with the ghetto like he's talking about going into and then you have the nice suburb areas with snobby people. And America a lot of the time there will be a super dangerous Ghetto and then there will be suburbs like a 10 min drive away. In my town there's the most ghetto block and then like a few streets over there's not like fancy houses but like nice middle class houses.

For non-americans this gig is not too funny because we cant relate to most of the things he said but you should keep reacting to his bits. I dont know who suggested it among all the other better stuffs.
