I gotta say, Ren, your art is something different. I believe in God. And I've seen His influence in my life a couple times. But i rarely believe in any intervention other than the 3 times where my life was spared by what could only be a divine spirit. I just stumbled across "Hi Ren" in the past few hours. And I have never had anything strike such a chord in me before. The story you told based on your life in that song, that I've listened to on repeat for the past 4 hours, has clicked something into place in my mind that I have been missing. Like the final piece of a jigsaw puzzle. I truly believe that your life, your art, your reach, and your purpose are ordained by higher powers to create a stampeding positive force to shine light to people who are missing that final piece. I don't expect you to read all of this, or respond to it, but maybe it will catch someone else's eye who needs to know they aren't alone. As someone who lives with a debilitating and sometimes evil personality disorder, and who has to actively fight against the pull into sociopathy and has made a conscious decision to try to turn it for good, but who constantly fails, your art that I have been exploring for the past 4 hours has been such a grounding and inspiring experience. I just felt the need to share with you, if i could. Or for anyone else who needs to see they aren't alone. So thank you for finding a way to turn your own devils into angels whose light is vibrant enough to spill into the paths of others so they may find their own. I can't think of any other way to describe it because I've never experienced it before.

They probably won’t do it together because of the total time of 13 minutes. If they do, it could be a while. For them to do it sooner, might be best to do Jenny’s Tale and Screech’s Tale together…. then Violets Tale separate. They’ve stated it’s more difficult and takes more planning for longer reactions. I too would love to see all three done together.

I'm sure you've gotten a million comments about this between this video and your others - but Ren grew up with Lyme disease, which for years was misdiagnosed as several other things. I know he also suffers from an autoimmunity issue as well, which I thiiiiink(?) came as a complication from the Lyme disease too. (Lyme disease being something people get from tick bites - hence the reference to ticks in the song when he's called sick) This was a fantastic reaction though! Thank you for your reactions, you two are the most emotional people I've gotten to watch on any of the various Ren reactions, and you seem extremely genuine and honest. Love it! Thanks for your efforts to upload all these great videos! My Mother is a Vietnam disabled Marine veteran and to say she holds everything in is an understatement. I've literally watched the VA hand her a paper bag full of drugs and then tell her "Can you just go crawl off and die quietly?" when she finally did beg for help. What Ren.is talking about has happened to so many ppl across every race and creed. Sadly many "doctors" today care infinitely more about their wallets then the ppl they are supposed to be helping. I'm terminally ill and seen the best and worst of the medical community. I'm the last 12yrs alone I've noticed a truly frightening lack of empathy and ANY remote sign of a bedside manner. When you have medical professionals taking out their aggression on a helpless patient and the only response from "medical professionals" is "well move them" is not an answer. I have no idea how to fix things but our medical system is almost on life support and unless something is done it will be on life support!

Pretty sure everything happened in his mind. He was actually sitting at therapy in a normal room but thats how he pictures it and that's what he wants to say but he doesn't. If you watch when he is rapping the doctor acts like nothing is really happening. That's my view of it, if you look after he spazzes out the first time he sits down and talks calmly. I think it's partly a video of qhat he really wants to say but doesn't in the session so he made a song where he can say it

Another great reaction. "Sick Boi" is almost another chapter to "Hi Ren." His latest release, “Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve retake),” is another masterful work. There is so much more to Ren. He plays multiple instruments (acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, piano, drums), has impressive vocals, performs a number of genres, is an excellent storyteller, and quite the philosopher and poet. His performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the Moon), Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), his former bandmate, Romain Axisa (“French Song”) are all great. Ren's performances as a member of the band "The Big Push" (which unfortunately broke up) are awesome and well worth checking out, both the busking (street performances) and their live recordings. Ren's covers of "I Shot the Sheriff," "Wade in the Water," "Bongo Bong (Manu Chao cover)," "An Englishman in New York," the songs "Oh My Woman," "Swan Song," and so many others are equally impressive and really give you a sample of his vocal ability. Ren’s collaborations with Chinchilla (“Chalk Outlines,” “How to Be Me”) are beautiful and showcase his singing voice while addressing mental health. Ren's personal reflections on his struggles are threaded through many of his other songs as well; "Insomnia," "Depression," “Diazepam," “Penitence,” “Dear God,” “Heretic,” “Dominos,” his "Freckled Angels" album, just to name a few, all deserve a listen. His song "Money Game" (Part I & II) is another recommendation, although it is less of a personal song than it is an indictment of greed and the resulting injustices in this world. Ren's trilogy "The Tale of Jenny/Screech/Violet." is an absolute must. It is spellbinding, haunting and has an unforeseen conclusion; WATCH THEM IN THE STATED ORDER, as this is the flow of the storyline, or just watch “The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Full)” from Ren's channel, which includes “Violet’s Tale at the end. The story is a 1-2-3 punch in the gut and is another example of Ren’s genius and a master’s class in storytelling.

Lyme Disease is actually very treatable if caught. But he's had it for years being told it's all in his head. Him having it for years it's still treatable, but it has wrecked his body so now he has to deal with all that. I mean, it will affect your joints' muscles and organs. He's probably lucky he's not dead and will probably never be the same physically
@supertuscans9512 Жыл бұрын
It’s a terrible thing, to the best of my knowledge there is no cure but some of the symptoms can now be managed a bit.
@supertuscans9512 Жыл бұрын
I neglected to mention if it’s caught early it can be killed with antibiotics but may people are unaware they have even been bitten by tick and show no symptoms. Nobody goes to he treated for something they don’t know they have. Conversely it does seem that some peoples’ immune systems are able to deal with Lymes and the disease has little or no impact on them.
@angelaprzybylski1425 Жыл бұрын
@supertuscans9512 lyme disease is curable. The affects of the disease can last a lifetime. The damage it's caused is what people struggle with. But it can be cured the damage usually not
@supertuscans9512 Жыл бұрын
This is nonsense. Lyme’s disease is only treatable if caught in its very early stages. At that point it can be treated with antibiotics, although it is estimated that even then some 30% of patients do not respond to treatment and go onto to develop Lymes. Once the early stages of the illness has passed, there is no cure. The only hope is that in some people some of the symptoms become manageable, although the disease itself can’t be cured. I’m not sure exactly why you are peddling this fantasy and propagating this myth, that Lyme’s can be cured. If not caught early - it can’t and claims to the contrary are false.

You'll see how far Ren's range goes. Also Money Game part.2 is a very impactful song with a very nice flow and lyrics that represent the world's reality. The tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet is a masterpiece in story telling and you should check in that order. Would love to see your reactions to those

Ren's Sick Boi video has been taken down as he was unknowingly missold a beat with a stolen sample and the person (Kujuobeats) who produced the original beat is now holding it hostage with a copyright claim demanding 100% royalties on Ren's hard work... #FreeSickBoi #SaveSickBoi

So I know it's only been up for like 15 minutes but you NEED to react to Rens newest beat with Kujo Beatdown. It's phenomenal and addresses this song being taken down.

Want to hear Ren do Black Sabbath, live (with some Rage Against the Machine thrown in). Then check out Big Push playing "War Pigs". Pure singing with no rapping? Then check out Ren x Chincilla: "Chalk Outlines". There's a more "produced" lyrics video too, but the one I recommend is the raw, live take, similar to "Hi Ren", with Ren & Chinchilla singing a duet together, Ren playing electric guitar. It's a beautiful song about, I guess, coping.? Pure Hip Hop, with a hopeful message? “Power“. Eric Clapton cover? Then it's Big Push playing "I Shot the Sheriff". These are just a few examples of Ren's versatility. It's not all doom and gloom.

Absolutely watch How to Be Me with Chinchilla! His band The Big Push singing I Shot the Sherrif. Ren's done several interviews if you really want to be in awe of his intellect, grace, humility, and humanity.❤

The name Ren has a depper meaning. The Meaning of Ren in Confucianism The core thought of Confucianism is Ren, but what is the meaning of Ren? Ren (or Rén) is the Confucian virtue denoting the good feeling a virtuous human experiences when being altruistic. Ren is exemplified by a normal adult's protective feelings for children. It is considered the inward expression of Confucian ideals. Yan Hui, Confucius's most outstanding student, once asked his master to describe the rules of Rén and Confucius replied, "One should see nothing improper, hear nothing improper, say nothing improper, do nothing improper." Confucius also defined Rén in the following way: "wishing to be established himself, seeks also to establish others; wishing to be enlarged himself, he seeks also to enlarge others." Another meaning of Rén is "not to do to others as you would not wish done to yourself." Confucius also said, "Rén is not far off; he who seeks it has already found it." Rén is close to man and never leaves him. Nature of Rén Rén relies heavily on the relationships between two people, but at the same time encompasses much more than that. It represents an inner development towards an altruistic goal, while simultaneously realizing that one is never alone, and that everyone has these relationships to fall back on, being a member of a family, the state, and the world. Rén is not a concept that is learned; it is innate, that is to say, everyone is born with the sense of Rén. Confucius believed that the key to long-lasting integrity was to constantly think, since the world is continually changing at a rapid pace. There have been a variety of definitions for the term Rén. Rén has been translated as "benevolence", "perfect virtue", "goodness" or even "human-heartedness". When asked, Confucius defined it by the ordinary Chinese word for love, ai, saying that it meant to "love others". Rén also has a political dimension. Confucianism says that if the ruler lacks Rén, it will be difficult for his subjects to behave humanely. Rén is the basis of Confucian political theory; the ruler is exhorted to refrain from acting inhumanely towards his subjects. An inhumane ruler runs the risk of losing the Mandate of Heaven or, in other words, the right to rule. A ruler lacking such a mandate need not be obeyed, but a ruler who reigns humanely and takes care of the people is to be obeyed, for the benevolence of his dominion shows that he has been mandated by heaven. Confucius himself had little to say on the active will of the people, though he believed the ruler should definitely pay attention to the wants and needs of the people and take good care of them. Mencius, however, did state that the people's opinion on certain weighty matters should be polled. Rén also includes traits that are a part of being righteous, such as hsin, meaning to make one's words compliment his actions; li, which means to properly participate in everyday rituals; ching, or "seriousness"; and yi, which means right action. When all these qualities are present, then one can truly be identified as a chün tzu (君子), or "superior man," which means a morally superior human being. Confucians basically held the view that government should be run by ethically superior human beings who concentrate solely on the welfare of the people they govern

I just realised at the start when she says ‘your mind is making you sick’ and it echoes off, it sounds more like ‘making music’. Knowing Ren that was intentional and just HOW does he do that
