Polyphemus was pretty upset about the sheep because they weren't his food. In the Odyssey, Polyphemus was the runt of the cyclopes. He had no friends and was always excluded, so his father gave him the sheep to keep him company. Polyphemus' sheep were more like his pet dogs. On top of that, to humans like you and me it's pretty easy to say a sheep is less important than a human. Polyphemus is not a human, in fact humans are food to him the same way we eat sheep.

I’m not sure how much you know about the Odyssey, but Athena was very much correct with her misgivings of Od’s actions with the cyclops, as you will find out in later songs. Athena saw Od as forsaking her teachings with how stupid Od was being.

Polyphemus is the name of the Cyclops that Odyssey and his men fight, also in the musicals all of the monsters have a song for them that's just titled their name. For example Polyphemus

Highly suggest you check out Mircsy's Polyphemus animatic. They're the ones who made the Open Arms and Survive animatics, and frankly? Their Polyphemus animatic is the best one. Just outright. It's not even a contest it's so much better than every other one. Not to say the others are bad, it's just a case of it being so good that none of the others can hope to compete. It's on the same level as Gigi's Monster animatic. You haven't gotten to that one yet, but trust me, when you see it you'll understand why it's so good.
