Interior designer Ksenia Shakhmatova transformed an old two-room Stalin-era apartment into a comfortable three-room apartment for a travel blogger mom and her five-year-old daughter in just 3 months.
The main request of the client was a fast turnkey apartment renovation without her involvement. This project was Ksenia's first experience in interior design for living spaces (previously she worked on flipping apartments and investment repairs). In the old two-room Stalin-era apartment of 64 sq.m, a major renovation with a layout change was completed in 3 months. Two separate bedrooms, a living room, a comfortable kitchen, a laundry area, and a wardrobe were created. The gasified kitchen was separated by a glass partition, the bedroom and child's room by a wall made of glass blocks, and the bathroom and laundry area were combined with a common corridor.
