Back in 2020, we bought this rundown cabin in the Canadian wilderness to make a family home and create a cozy home base. We are so proud of how far we've come with this (mostly) DIY project and couldn't be happier to be raising a beautiful new baby out here in the woods. Is there honestly anything better than being in nature, getting your toes in the dirt and swimming in Canadian fresh water lakes? This week we’re moving on to a tiny space that we think will have a BIG impact for us and baby! The boat shed has long been a rundown (kind of disgusting) building that we just throw our junk in and forget about it. But, the vision is to turn this 150 sq ft into a functional storage shed that ALSO doubles as a mini bar, change table for baby and keeper of the sand toys for the beach :)

As a physical therapist in the states, we unfortunately see patients with those type of symptoms often. Your body has been going through a lot of stress recently.. Based on the symptoms you described, it does sound to me like you have a pinched nerve within your neck that’s radiating the symptoms down into your shoulder and arm. I would highly recommend you get in to see a physical therapist that can help release the nerve in your neck and give you some exercises that will help as well. I would be happy to send you some exercises to start but getting in to se a local PT will be your best bet. Good luck!! I hope you find some relief soon! You never fail to amaze me with how strong you are! 💗

Pain is a horrible beast. It always gets worse at night, but there are studies that show, a patients pain is remarkably less but just having a diagnosis because it takes the anxiety out not knowing what is happening. Hope you get some relief soon!

I appreciate Eamon sharing his adhd struggles, as a person who also has adhd & creative ideas and stuff flowing out the butt it's nice to know, there's ways around getting bored with something quick. I remember 1 time I did 3 paintings at once bc I'd get bored easily and that helped but idk why I never tried it with different stuff tho idk why it didnt hit me til this video😅 multiple projects at once would probably get me further than i do for most tasks/projects i put my mind to. I always have this amazing idea....start....get halfway done and my mind is ready for the next thing and I'll leave it(whatever I had been working on) sitting for a whileeee. It's frustrating. But maybe this would help.😂 multiple diff things at once, sounds challenging but fun😅

Awe Bec, so feel for you! I went through this in the end stages of my pregnancy. At 38 I was a mature mum and I was carrying a baby who's birthweight was nearly 10lb. Nerves in my spine were pinching causing awful pain in my neck, shoulder, arm and hand. So painful and so difficult to sleep. I really, really feel for you. Pain relief helped and it soon started fo settle down after the birth. But I really get what you've going through. All I can say is it's temporary. Hang in there.

You might want to consider adding some corner bracing on the lift door. Otherwise it’s going to warp/twist over time and it won’t close properly.

Bec, i had a similar thing in my arm. The pain was intense! It turned out to be a pinched nerve in my neck due to a herniated disc (C5/C6) it causes burning/severe pain to go down your arm. Depending where the nerve is, it can cause pain in different areas. So crazy how our nerves work. You arent alone, that pain was the absolute worst. My heart goes out to you ❤

I had intense shoulder pain a few years ago, I gave up all night shade food to help. It did help, no pain killers did anything. Also I alternated with a heat bag and a cold pack that helped too. Love your channel ❤ hope the pain eases soon. X

So much sympathy for your shoulder pain, Bec! I had a similar issue around the same point in my pregnancy which radiated down into my ribs so every breath was agony. Scraping and acupuncture finally got mine under control, but I don’t think it was as severe. So frustrating when you’re finally past the normal pregnancy discomforts and something like this comes out of nowhere. That week with shoulder pain was by far the hardest part of my entire pregnancy. Praying you get relief!

I got terrible tendinitis in both my arms when doing a piano performance degree and found that hot and cold therapy worked really well to ease the pain! Easy to do at home either in the shower or with ice packs and warm bean bags. Hope this helps and MUCH LOVE to you both ❤
