Luckily irl, Amtrak SDP40F no. 644(SDF40-2 no. 6976) is at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, now being rebuilt back into its SDP40F Design and will be renumbered back to 644 with plans to paint it in its Amtrak Phase 1 "Bloody Nose" Scheme. After which, 644 will be used on excursion runs on Museum's grounds along with Amtrak F40PH no. 231, which was recently repainted back in its Phase 3 Paint

The Amtrak SDP40F has been successfully restored to operating order. To celebrate the success of its return, it pulled a special Amtrak Heritage train called the Sunshine Limited from Chicago to Miami. The train consisted of SDP40F #631, two baggage cars, and four double decker coaches. Railfans lined the tracks to catch a glimpse of The Sunshine Limited as it makes it's way to Florida. It is actually great to see such a beautiful and unique Engine such as the SDP40F being restored to working order. With that being said, welcome back #631!

Looks like my wish has came true my favorite train service has officially entered the channel well actually Amtrak has always been in this channel I saw the crash video of the class eight of Amtrak

The SDP40F found at the docks is next for a restoration. The transport to the workshop took a while but it got there. The heavy SDP40F went a heavy restoration project. The work took a while but in the end it was completely worth it and the rusty SDP40F reemerges from the Gustavtime Workshop as Amtrak #631 fully painted phase 3 with a Nathan K5LA. The Horn isn't accurate but whatever. Anyways WB Amtrak #631.
