hello !!! i want to bike a new smr 450 fi 2023 as a secondary bike for two or three rides per month, not in track for sure. change oil every 2500-3000 km and not every 15hrs??? it that a problem?

Is the SMX 450 the twin and SMR 450 the single? Depending on the port design, the SMR 300 FI two-stroke might be interesting as well.

I tried both before buying the 450 and the 300 Is very smooth and powerful, but i wanted more torque

Nope the frame is more rigid on the smx. And you have 500rpm more if i'm not wrong

Yes but also no. The smr is the street legal version with light, indicators, etc, and it has the single exhaust stock. The smx is the track version with a dedicated frame, some differences in the engine (such as the dual exhaust) and slick tires. There's another version called smk, that's the one shown on the video (the smx is now discontinued), the main difference is the new cylinder head with the new dual manifold exhaust. The smx and smk were identical in 2020 and 2021 (except for the mods i explained) but for 2022 they redone the entire bike from the ground up, except for the engine, that basically stayed the same

I'm going to give you a non answer. I don't feel I can do ether bike true justice, and you'll be faster on whichever bike feels more comfortable to you. I'd go so far as to say that's going to be true for most bikes with almost all non pro riders.

@@socalsupermoto that's a great response, thanks for being truthful. I'm very familiar with sportbikes and that is my answer for that class of machines as well. I just wish the TM network was a bit better in the States, there were only 2 listed dealers in TX and when I reached out to them they said they no longer distribute for TM. That alone is scaring me away from the bike, it does look really really awesome though, thanks again!
