Topps did a good job to make this a fun set for this year, but should have created better odds for actual parallels in the rip cards.

I've had 2 rip cards. A single rip /99 (Yadier Molina) which had a Babe Ruth SP., and a box topper (Hank Aaron) from 2021 that had 3 stained glass minis. Ernie Banks, Jim Thome and Francisco Lindor. All told the cards, at the time, were worth maybe $250-$300 total and unripped, I could have gotten $300 for the box topper alone. So even with my getting an absurdly lucky rip card that had 3 stained glass minis, I still would have been better off selling them instead of ripping them.

I’m pretty new to baseball and collecting, i like the RIP cards but seems it would be more worth to sell them I ripped and let someone else open it. I’ve not seen really anything come out of them when opened that seems worth it. Don’t think I’ll be getting into ripping them. Excited to grab a couple boxes from my local store of the A&G though to check ‘‘em out - I like the look of the cards
