The official page, cool! My question is, when are you going to put the MTA's feet to the fire so they'll provide some decent public transport for your fine city? It's the only large Northeastern US city without even halfway decent transit!

@@edwardmiessner6502 We were very closely with the MTA to help with their improvements, but we also have public transportation we run ourselves. We run both the Charm City Circulator and the Harbor Connector, and they're free!

Whoever runs the MTA doesn't seem to prioritise transporting people into, out of, through, and around Baltimore. That town used to hold almost a million people so it definitely was able to support several heavy rail subway lines at one time. But only that modern one and the light railway were built; they didn't even keep their old trolley lines! 😭😭😭😢

The Johns Hopkins Shuttle you can board. Those blue Novas/New Flyers that go to the main campus you can board…the regular hospital shuttle that you see those white Gilligs you need an ID for.

You're missing the Baltimore Streetcar Museum, their little mile or so of track is technically still officially part of the transit network! (plus it's just neat)

Honestly, Baltimore’s transit is actually pretty good compared to the rest of the country. I used to use it daily. Yes it has its hickups. Is it comparable to Nyc or Boston, no. I now live in Phoenix, AZ and while we have light rail that is rapidly expanding the transit doesn’t quite meet the requirements for a city of its size. Baltimore however punches above its weight in comparable cities. I don’t miss much about Baltimore but I miss the transit and harbor.

Those old Bud metro cars must be like 50 years old. Also used in Miami, both systems opened about the same time.

You know if you're on a crowded bus or train, you can just shoot some footage out the window without saying anything. That's what I did when I was making some transit content in my local area.

my guess is there was no way to get to a window... (they could have filmed the bus coming and going though) however by my books, if it's not on a video it does not count.

Fun vid. The JH Hospital station may seem overbuilt... but it's probably because at the time it was built, there were lofty plans for an additional metro line linking Baltimore to DC. There are lots of folks who live in Baltimore City or Baltimore County who work in DC. Tons more people would do the same if that Metro line had been built. And more patients and prospective JH employees from the DC area would likely have made the journey to Johns Hopkins Hospital. Anyway, politics got in the way... and that direct line was never built. Yeah, there are ways to get from Baltimore to DC, but nothing to compare with the ease of a direct subway line linked to WMATA.
