WE RODE MOUNT SNOWDON AND DISASTER STRUCK!!

We have wanted to do this for ages and decided on a whim that we would do it the day after making it a plan. I’ve heard lots of good things about snowdon but you have to do it to really understand! This is for sure on the cards to be done again i loved every minute of it! Unfortunately ben had some bad luck with his hub! Has anyone seen this happen before? Anyways cheers for watching 🤘

Quick hack for Schwalbe tires: mount the tire such that the line on them is closer to the side with the break disc, and it will be always the right way round ;-)!

Yes lads, Nice vid. I've always fancied riding Snowden, definitely looks worth the effort. I was gutted for Ben, although glad he managed to ride down, without incident! You aren't on your own Ben, I've also managed to split two Hope hubs in the past. And I'm only 5' 11" tall and weigh about 145 lbs, so it's not Ben! It all starts with fatigue cracks at the spoke holes, and the cracks creep over time, til it just opens up. It probably started to fail some time ago. Definitely worth checking your bike regular! Wow I feel so sorry for Ben it’s probably one in 1 million. chance that Hubs break like that and big respect to Tommy’s 2 months of the bike and goes up Snowden definitely feeling that in the morning haven’t been up Snowden in for years last time I went I had to carry my friend’s Trek session as I didn’t have my glory then the pain carrying it up was worth it on the way down that’s for sure DH Bikes are so much fun Hurtling down Snowden definitely not taking my glory up they’re old-school DH bike heavy as hell no thanks lol

Did that to a Hope 2 hub on my Orange 5 once as well. Same thing climbing hard in the granny ring. Too much torque I guess 💪 😂

I did the exact same route you did last year, such a great ride. came to see if you rode the whole descent - did you need to walk the section at 16.53? it gets properly gnarly
