The firewood jikos/stove of your brothes needs simple chimney/exhaust pipe... to direct smoke out in one route. if you build firewood jiko/stove at your place try to put up chimey..it helps alot by lessing the smoke up wards.than going everywhere in the kitchen

You can clean the water jerricans with sand, ash and a piece of old sack,we do that in the village and they remain clean.You can sprinkle all the waste water you use for laundry on the floors to keep dowm the dust and make it easier to sweep.
