Since y’all didn’t explore enough imma tell y’all the info y’all missed. The only way to become a Wendigo (that’s what they call them shits y’all was shooting for no reason) is by cannibalism, not by a bite. At the beginning of the game when the sisters (Hannah & Beth) fell off the mountain Hannah survived & Beth didn’t. But Hannah was stuck in that cave and she grew very hungry which caused her to eat her own sister….(cannibalism.) Thats why one of those Wendigo had a butterfly tattoo on there shoulder, it was to let you know that that specific one was Hannah.

When I first played the game, the only character that I killed was Jessica. I thought that in Chapter 4 of the game, when Mike is chasing, trying to save Jess, I thought the game wanted players to be cautious, so I took the long routes for every option. I thought that I did the right thing until I saw her dead with her mouth pulled open, and I read how she survives that, and you do the complete opposite of what I did-take the shortest routes. I felt bad, but I didn’t like her or Emily, so I accepted her fate. Also, in the final part of the game when Sam and Mike are in the cold lake, there will be a diary that you read (if you explore), and it reveals that after Hannah and Beth fell at the beginning, Hannah lived. When Hannah was all by herself, she was alone, stranded, and starving so she ate Beth, and that’s how she became a Windigo. If Sam told Josh that, when Mike and Sam found him, Hannah (the Windigo with the butterfly tattoo) would have spared him, but he does not live or die. In the end of the game, you will find out that Josh becomes a Windigo himself. Personally, I find that worse than death.
