Hi hope you enjoy your adventure in Korea, slightly different to Japan. I spent nearly 2 years in SK back in 87-88 and stayed in Pohang just up the coast from where you docked in PUSAN not Busan. Im sure its changed since I was there but even so I thoroughly enjoyed my time and the people.

Pusan is actually the old Romanization system which used much harsher consonants than actual Korean. Busan is the correct way to say it under the new system and sounds closer to 부산.

there's no tomatoes in that soup, lol, it's either kimchi jjigae or like a healthy version of budae jjigae, lol, no tomatoes, all chilies, lol, and the square looking veggie side is kimchi radish called kkakdugi. By the way, google maps hasn't been allowed to map Korea since 2008. There are 2 Korean based maps that you can use, but neither really work well in English, Kakao Map and Naver Map

I believe a lot of the problem with traveling to leave Japan for South Korea is the problems and potential threat of North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un. As you probably know he recently traveled to Russia to visit Putin for several days. Nobody is really certain what kind of a deal was struck between them; thus, the whole world is a bit on edge about their meeting. I must say up front I worked with a man from South Korea, and he was one of the kindest persons you would ever want to meet! Stay safe and happy trails to you both!

Why don't you just buy an AC for the van? They sell any type you want, a nice roof unit comes with heat and ac.
@TREADtheglobe
@TREADtheglobe 10 ай бұрын
Hi - buying the AC is not the issue - but instead we are trying to work out the powering issue - Trudy is 18+ years old with not a huge amount of power so she doesn't have the capacity to take an AC unit - and due to her shape and size / wiring we are trying to work out a plan - it is unlikely we can have AC but maybe and extractor fan - we are talking to a professional installer at the moment 😉🙌🚐

The guy bording the ship is most likely a harbor pilot that will assist with safely approaching the designated berth and or communicating with tug boat assistance. (or a pirate who knows)

I'm an American man in Seoul. And I spend a lot of time on the Korea west coast Chungcheongnam-do (충청남도), in the city of Seosan (서산). I've been following you since Turkey, and I'll be going back to Turkey again soon. If you need any help in Seoul or near Seosan (서산), please let me know. Would love some help on choosing my next driving route of Turkey. Did Antalya and the south last time.
