Thus diving into the convo of bending animals. It was cut to make things more cohesive in the convo and it was just a lot of me going "hmmm" "uhhh" while thinking lol. I might have to star leaving in all 20mins of my end discussions for yall 😂.

Though not plot heavy it does expand on the lore. The story of Oma and Shu on top of the reveal that badgermoles taught the lovers how to earthbend in the same way the air nomads learned from the sky bison. Each of the nations does have an animal that "taught" them how to bend, with the exception of the Water Tribes who learned to bend from the moon. This was mentioned at the end of season 1.

Whats good Aege.... here’s the thing about the bending animals. Basically, only the flying bisons can airbend because they are the original airbenders. The air nomads learned from the bisons and befriended them. The original earthbenders were the badger-moles. Oma and Shu learned from them in the love tunnels and so they became the first human earthbenders. The original waterbenders were the koi fish. Water tribes saw how the ocean spirit pushed and the moon spirit pulled. That’s why the first thing Aang and Katara learn together is pushing and pulling the water. The original fire benders are revealed in the 3rd book: fire. Hope this helped u understand. Love ur reactions!

As far as I know, the OST track for Aang and Katara's kiss is called "The Cave of Two Lovers", it's played on an instrument called the Guzheng.

Each bending style was taught to people by certain animals, and those animals where the original benders, for air flying bison where the original benders, fire had dragons which where sadly hunted to extinction, earth has the badger moles, and water had the moon which pulls and pushes on the water and makes its waves, those are all the original benders that people learned to bend from

Every nation has their own origins of bending learned by an original bender master, like some martial arts resembles the form and characteristics of an animal or insect. For example: In the Water Tribes the original water bender was the Moon (they explained it at the first part of the 1 season finale), in the Earth Kingdom the first earth benders were the Badger-moles (they just said it in “the story of the two lovers” if you paid attention to the story a little more) the others you’ll find out eventually.

Every element has an original source that once taught humans how to bend. The moon was the first waterbender as introduced in season 1 and badgermoles are the original earthbenders, so you are definitely right about that. Also yes, skybisons like Appa are the original airbenders, you are very keen my friend =) The lore in this world is just sooooo cool and sound all around. Also yes, Aang is 12, he is just 12.......give him time XXXXD

you must've missed that part of the lore in the tomb story, but the badgermoles were the original earth benders and taught Oma and Shu to earth bend, which is how humans are now capable of earth bending. i believe air benders learned from observing (?) their flying bisons, and water benders learned from the push and pull of the moon. you may or may not find out about fire bending eventually! also, i just wanted to say, this is hands down my favorite series on youtube. i don't think i've ever found myself checking a channel a couple times daily to see if they've uploaded, and i find myself genuinely anticipating your next video from the moment the recent one ends. thanks for all you do!

This is probably in the comments already but the story of the two lovers was also the story of the origin of earth bending. That the badgemoles were the first earth benders and they taught the two lovers how to earth bend.

The music that played when Aang and Katara were about to kiss was a variation of "The Avatar's Love." You hear the beginning of that ost at the ends of some episodes (especially in book 1). However, you don't hear the 2nd half of the track until later in the series. That bit that you hear in that scene in this episode can be heard in its original form at 1:26 in "The Avatar's Love."
