London is now only 35% white.. So the "White English" number will be even smaller if you take out white Europeans from that %. Its a disgraceful erosion of English culture and values..I do wonder where it will end other than badly.. We have turned into America in less that 20 years and look at the race issues they still have to this day in a "Diverse" society.. The Sikh's stepped up to provide meals in the hour of need of a small town I live at in Australia during Bushfires. Indian's in general have always tried to do well and build wherever they end up. I am a 81 year old Hindu from India . 90 % of Hindus, Muslims and Christians study in Christian Institutions in India by preference upto High School . A secular prayer is chanted in the auditorium by the students and soon after students and teachers go to classes . I and my two elder sisters studied in a Christian convent in the same period . We had no separate prayer room religion wise and we never wanted one . Nowadays , Muslims have started raising unnecessary issues everywhere in the world , even in Muslim countries like Afghanistan Taliban . This religiosity must be condemned and absolutely discouraged . As the Netherlands P M has said , they should be told to integrate or get out .

Actually...it started earlier than that . The 80's was perhaps when you noticed it. The Crown has been persecuting Christians of one stripe or another for more than 500 years. This land has a history drenched in the blood of Christian martyrs.... Centuries of persecution and theft of the rights of Catholics and Puritans etc ...at the hands of the courts and the crown. Bloodshed is again rearing its head in the sectarian tension in NI. My children go to a catholic private school that even has a church in the school grounds, yet they didn't celebrate St George's Day in favour of celebrating Eid with dedicated food and understanding the religious meaning of it. Whilst I do not mind my children learning about other cultures and religions it should NOT be at the exclusion of our own patron saint! They didn't even know who our patron saint was and nor could they name the Scottish, Welsh or Irish patron saints (they had heard of St Patrick once prompted due to the commercialisation surrounding the day). It's a disgrace what is being taught (or not taught) in our schools - we are losing our heritage!

When I attended primary school as a child in the early 1970s, we had Christian assemblies every morning and celebrated St George's Day every year, irrespective of one's race or religion. At the end of the year there was a big Christmas concert where parents were invited. Regarding my own Afro-carribean people, the Windrush generation arriving in the UK found it much easier to integrate precisely because of our shared Christian beliefs, values and work ethic, even though we faced rejection by the white Anglican churches which led our people to plant their own congregations here. I'd argue that it is the black Carribean and later African churches that are keeping Christianity alive in Britain, as there has been a decline in attendence among the traditional Anglican churches.

I’m past my mid eighties now, For the whole of my school life, a Christian Assembly was held, with full Prayers, a reading plus two Hymns, this was STANDARD practice then, the Catholics held similar Assemblies… The difficult words in some of the hymns and prayers helped me to read and to understand, the prayers, gave us all, a good grounding in our faith, even if we weren’t church goers, The reading, was always about love and kindness to others…. We almost knew all of the hymns by heart…. A WONDERFUL LASTING foundation, for decent living, relationships and community cohesion…. For all of that to be removed was a HUGE mistake… I agree that no , ONE religion or Faith should take precedent…. This country is sliding downhill very fast. Our Christian, groups should combine, to begin returning to our schools ASAP.

I'm not a Christian, but it is a Christian country and I appreciate the values of Christianity. We are leaning towards Islam though and it is very noticeable. Halal meat is served everywhere, from schools to hospitals to chain restaurants. Muslim praying including in the parks, streets, and pavements has become very prominent even blocking traffic and people going about their lives. During Ramadan, whole streets are covered in decorations and Islamic symbols, and shops, schools, museums, and football grounds are the same. At the break of fast in the evenings the whole country comes to a virtual stop. You'd be fooled into thinking you were living in Saudi Arabia. We don't even get this for Christmas never mind any other religious festival. With Islamic migration into this country at record levels and increasing year on year, if something isn't done soon in just a few years we will become a majority Muslim country and by then it will be too late. The rate of change in just the last few years has been incredible.

I saw a video yesterday a man being arrested for sharing Gospel which completely shattered me, what happened to the police when there was chaos in Leicester by muslims and in London currently, It's a shame that UK govt. is allowing these things to happen, utter shame!

I have been to Iran , Pakistan and a few other Muslim countries and we had to abide by their laws and when you are there during Ramadan you have to follow that as well . But they come to the UK and demand that we follow their culture, we saw the Chinese Communists did the same to a KZbinr the other day. The UKNis losing its culture and identity, sadly Australia is not far behind

If people don't think values instilled as a child are important, why have SEVERAL MUSLIM MEN BEEN CLEARED OF RAPE CHARGES AND NOT JAILED "BECAUSE WE DIDNT KNOW IT WAS WRONG" - this happened very recently - and the JUDGE ALLOWED IT, BECUASE "HE DIDN'T KNOW ANY BETTER". Best childhood years were at a junior school where there was assembly and the day began with singing. It got the energy going for the day. Think we did better at learning that way. And yes, Christmas was magical, and practising for the xmas play made Christmas exciting.

I live in Thailand now but returned to the U.K. July 2023. I was actually shocked ,bewildered and stressed with my experience. Shocked by the obvious cultural changes regarding population background. Very noticeable now. Bewildered with the obvious inflationary price increases. One place I visited £5 for an ice cream cone . from a van. Stressed driving a hire car. This experience was really just revenue gathering. You can be driving at 30mph then suddenly the limit changes to 20 mph. You need a co driver just to watch out for these traps. A speed limit warning device in the car is essential. I never got a ticket but that was down to luck. Also, car parks have become a massive rip off £5 for two hours. The attendants are sitting there just waiting for your ticket to expire. I also had a similar experience in London near Grosvenor Square where the parking attendant was standing by my meter as I returned. I was a couple of minutes before expired and he walked away quite disappointed. Driving in the U.K. is not a joyful or relaxed experience. Even returning the hire car to Heathrow they tried to rip me off weeks later with extra charges . Luckily I hadn’t left the U.K. and stopped them taking money from my credit card. Finally,the Politicians are actually getting out of touch with the general public . Immigration is upper most in peoples mind and this issue needs to be dealt with affectively and seen to be decisive. The general perception from the public is that the government continues to fudge the issue of immigrants,be they legal or illegal. Human rights and finger jabbing lawyers may well be our Trojan horse. Time to cut the crap from the government. Overall feeling for the U.K. People seem rather negative and I’m not surprised.
