That prison room looks as good as anything we stay in while travelling 😂..and I loved that you seemed confused about the guests keeping their cooking staples in the shared kitchen - this is very normal practice in hostels, caravan parks, and other povo accom options 😂

Lol I love the gaol footage, so good!! Funny hearing you say where is your cell instead of room. Cracked me up. Gee you wouldn't want the door to get jammed. 6:50 The tv room was pretty funny too. 8:57 Ohhh contraband (Maccas). I'm not surprised to hear you were cold during the night, I''ve often thought it would be ice cold in a gaol for inmates, especially during the 1800s and early 1900s. I'm coming over in October and would love to stay there for the night with my teen, it looks amazing. I may have to plan another trip and go to Christchurch as my Aussie schoolmate lives in Christchurch.

Oh my goodness I was cracking up even before we got 1 minute into the video. Stacey's face!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Then Dane points at the luggage rack and claims you guys have a couch! 🤣 *enters a pitch black room* "this is just creepy" *switches on light" "Oh!" But on amore serious note, I expect people probably are living at the hostel based on those kitchen boxes. I did a working holiday visa out in Canada for a year and arrived in Toronto just as they were going into their 'off' season so they had excellent month long deals. Was nice to be able to secure a job first, then find an apartment that had a good commute afterwards. Maybe with Covid and less international travellers, the hostel have offered something similar? 🤷‍♀️ Sad to see the end of the series, but excited for what is to come!

@Daneger and Stacey Nah, I get you!! I adored that hostel in Toronto, but only because of the people (lots of other working holiday makers doing the same thing) and the staff were amazing... but the hostel itself was pretty scabby!! I stay in hostels less and less these days, but I always found the staff to be proper highlights, beacon of local knowledge for budget options... and I imagine not having the staff to welcome you both didn't help! 😔
