We couldn't seem to find camels or camel milk in Garissa, but our new friend with an American accent, Moe, had a backup plan. It turns out Garissa had another specialty, and we were going to try it before I checked out of the place. In the meantime, I would get some more practice with my Arabic and Somali.

For anyone interested in helping Moe to get the money needed to fix his bike, this is his Whatsapp and MPesa number: +254 726663987. His Paypal account is mohamedmilada210@gmail.com ALSO! Scam alert. Some guy named "maxamed alter" is trying to scam people in the comments by claiming to be Moe. Don't fall for it and don't send this guy any money. The real Moe uses the number above, you have my word on it. His bike really is broken, he wasn't trying to scam me or anything like that. So let's help the homie out.

@@mwangigitau286 If your language is any indication, then Garissa certainly has even more problems than I imagined. As a white man with a camera, he stood out. Don't tell me that he was as safe as being in Nyeri or Muranga. It's not the majority of people in Garissa who I was fearing. It's the extremists who blend in and can strike at any time. Amazing video! Kenyans are friendly people. Scammers are everywhere, especially in extreme cases. Moe, the lady on the bike and even the lady who took you to some clubs were awesome. If anyone can assist Moe that would be nice. Be careful.

This is a fantastic way to see a little of how others live . I wish children were taught more about the world so they would grow up a little more grateful .

I agree you Totally Hit the Jackpot in meeting the Somali American Brother!! All the Somali People I know are just like this Super Kind Hearted Genuine People that would try to Treat you as they would like to be treated their truly people that would take their shirts off their backs for you!! This man Protected you like he was your Brother literally instead of trying to take advantage of you like most locals would , Charge you Extra, take Driving/ Chaffeur Fees from you, might even cause you physical harm and steal your Belongings, this man did none of the above, treated you like his brother truly took care of you like his own, fed you took you around got you the Best Kush and American Food in the City This Man is a True Genuine brother and as a Somali Minnesotan myself I salute this brother on Showcasing us well and how nice and welcoming we are as a People who treat others Well and don’t take advantage of People as we believe that is a Sin in treating people bad in our religion, we Love Thy Neighbor what we love for ourself and treat others how we want to be treated, don’t steal lie kill or cause harm aren’t physical people unless in self defense, This is what it means to be a Muslim Especially a Somali core at heart we take Welcoming Our Guests Treating them with the Best of Hospitality and Courtesy Very Very Highly and Seriously!! Shoutout all my Somali and Muslim brothers you really got lucky meeting this brother he was a True Gem in an Environment like that. This is Somali Lands by the way GARRISSA is Somali lands hence why it’s a Somali city lived by all Somalis all those store workers businesses ETC the kids reading and speaking were Somali, historically this is Somali Lands, but recently in Just 1960 during Colonialism Britain and Colonial Powers Gave Away Lots of Somali Ancestral Historical Lands and Europeans literally got together in Germany in the 1890s and Started Squiggling on a Map of Africa and Declared those are the Borders!! Bastards!! They Ended up Splitting actual Families and Cousins who were just 1-5 Blocks away walking distance and now those 2 Cousins are now in 2 Seperate Countries with borders. They literally tore Families. Me myself I rememeber my uncle telling me how his family got torn apart into literally 5 Different countries He lived in Central Somalia, Mother got Seprated into Western Somalia (which is now occupied Somali Ogaden Ethiopia, to the North his father got SEPERATED into British Somaliland, and then Into Djibouti itself ( which is Literally a Somali City, city state, which the French stole from the Somali People and declared a tiny tiny city called Djibouti they declared it its own Country JUST because of the fact that they didn’t want SOMALI PEOPLE to Control the Bab El Mandeb Gulf of Tadjoura the Busiest and Most Important Sea route for trade in the world the Literal Route that Leads to the Suez Canal and this was before the Suez Canal was even built, if someone blocks the Somali Waters Bab el Mandeb than all world trade will be stopped and they won’t even be able to reach the Suez Canal. The Somali waters are the Most Important and Busiest shipping lanes in the world this was the plan of the elites to colonize and Destablize Somalia Fracture it make a fake city state with an installed puppet to control that Bab el Mandeb Straight for Sea Route Trade Purposes, Destablize Yemen on the other side All the while they fund militias in Somalia and destabilize it. Now they have 2 destabilized countries and they control the Most important sea Routes in the world.) back to what I was saying Central Somalia , then Western Somali Galbeed known as Occupied Somali Ogaden Land Occupied by Ethiopia. Then we have Djibouti and the British Somaliland to the North. To the south it was Italian Somalia and even lower down south was NFD Northern Kenya all the way to GARRISSA Region where this Man is now!! The Somali Flag has a 5 Point Star on it which represents the 5 Lost Lands of the Somali People the 5 Somali States NFD Kenya (Stolen by the British), Central Somalia, Ogaden Somalia Ethiopian Occupied, British Somaliland, and French Somaliland known as Djibouti. They split my Countru into 5 Literally!! It was the only African Nation to have all 3-4 even 5 Colonial powers fighting over it usually 1 colonial power occupies a Nation, but when it came to Somalia the Italian and British even French where literally are WAR over it after they already agreed on who gets what part of Africa back in 1800s in Germany. They still chose to fight over Somalia as they said this land is too important longest sea cost in Africa most important trade sea routes in the world, vast oil and resources, they couldn’t let the other have Somalia so the split into 3 Italian Somalia French Somaliland and British Somaliland Unlike other countries like British Kenya British Uganda Other countries where Colonized by 1 party Not all 3 or 4 that’s how valuable Somalia was Longest Coastline and resources and islands in Africa with over 250 islands including the illegally occupied Somali island of Socotra that is literally an African island of the Geographical plate of Somalia but illegally politically claimed by Yemen.
