We booked Sun Princess for the Greece/Spain trip in September 2026. We wanted the mini suite midship but the only room available is the cabana mini suite, I’m not sure if we like the cabana as it takes so much space from the suite. Does the cabana area have air conditioned? We really enjoyed the mini suite in Discovery Princess. Thank you for the honest review.

We stayed in a regular mini suite and the bathroom was much bigger as well as the hallway space and space around the bed! Interesting!!

It appears to be the same size as a regular balcony, but it does have the extra cabana area and larger balcony

I believe that is part of your Premier/Plus package. You can do it from the Princess website, but I can't remember how!

Thanks for the video, it really helped. Do you think it's worth it to upgrade to a cabana mini suite instead of a deluxe balcony or premium deluxe balcony? It's not that much more. What other benefits did you receive with having the cabana mini suite? We are trying to decide which one to book. We are wanting to book the new ship the Princess Star, because I'm thinking it will be very similar to the Princess Sun.

The only benefit is the additional space of the cabana, which does have a second TV. If you are traveling with kids, it might be worth it. I doubt we would pay extra for it next time, should be sail on Sun or Star. There are no other perks unless you get a cabana mini-suite on deck 9 which gives you access to a private outer deck space, but, your view of the ocean will be obscured.
