We spent 7 nights at Walmart camping in parking lots. 😳 We can't keep this up, so we're finally using Harvest Host to find a camping spot. Plus, we check out Niagara Falls, cross the US-Canada border via the Rainbow Bridge, and ride on the infamous Maid of the Mist! ☔️

Hi guys, Canadian here! Just a little tidbit of info for you ... the CN Tower is in Toronto and the one you saw in the Falls in the Skylon Tower. No big deal - people mix them up all the time. I'm glad you got to see 'our' side of the Falls ... it's so beautiful and you get a really good view of the American side from here. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next! Hugs.

Niagara from the Canadian side at night is spectacular. I hope your heading further up into NY, there's so much to see and do. We're seasonal on a site in Henderson Harbor, Lake Ontario. Lots of history to see.

One of the other van life people I watch says she keeps a bucket or bag of quarters in her van. Everything seems to need quarters from pay showers to washing machines to vending machines. She says she usually has a couple dollars worth in her pockets because you never know when you will need some.

One of my favorite aspects of Harvest Hosts is they often provide a great environment to connect with other van life travelers during the stay. I think the fact we don't get our own piece of real-estate to defend causes campers to bond. Have a beer with other travelers and tell your story and hear theirs.

When my daughter was four, we visited Niagara Falls and took the "Maid of the Mist" boat ride to the base of the Horseshoe Falls. I had Pooky, my daughter, in my arms, and we both got wet and cold, but it was a great time. That was back in 1998. You and Pooky look a lot alike, so when I saw you there, it was sort of a flashback for me, at a memorable moment with my little girl. 😊
