Hey, cole I from Montana and we primarily farm wheat on my family farm. We spill wheat sometimes when we're cleaning out the silo's and we put a big heavy tarp outside the door which makes cleanup really easy because you can fold the edges up and the grain collects in the middle. Maybe lay one underneath the hopper and cinder blocks. God bless
@genedameier87464 жыл бұрын
Lassoing Western, Have you thought of using a plastic kiddie pool ? You can build up the sides with corrugated plastic (sign shops or gas station trash, old cig or beer signs). You can cut that stuff easily with a knife to fit around augers. Just an idea. Stay Safe.

I am an old woman who is curious about everything and KZbin is a delight for me with all the info on it. I had no idea farming was like this. Lots of hardworking and responsible family making it all happen. I love your description of the farm and your family and also how a farm works in these days. Truly amazing. I LOVE your house and so respect you for your love of the fine architecture and all that beautiful wood that is used. I am a retired cabinet builder and carpenter and appreciate the house. Glad you are refurbishing it the way you are. BEAUTIFUL HOME! I also appreciate your love of dogs since I owned a kennel for years and did dog rescue. You guys are doing your community proud. I know it must be hard doing what you do, for people you most likely know. When I was in high school (graduating class of 28 people), my band teacher asked if I would play TAPS at funerals my freshman year. It was terribly hard playing it for the people I knew. I played TAPS more times then I wanted for those 4 years, and for a couple of years after graduation. But I gave each ceremony the respect that it deserved. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if requested. All of you should be proud of the service you're doing for your town.

I use to help dig graves when I was in high school. Unfortunately all the cemeteries we worked at where extremely strict about leaving any tire marks from a machine. I understood not tearing it up anything unnecessary but they won't even allow any machines like skid steers, hoes, and tractors(even with turf tires and rubber track. So we used a back hoe that you pull behind a pick up like one of the Dr ones but my old boss built his own so it was heavier and faster. Then the pick up we used also was a dump box. For winter time we used the same but used a heater to melt the frost. It was pretty fun and a learning experience but I still get jealous watching you because you get to use real equipment haha. Greta video once again!

as you can see the rack has bars on either side of him that are 8-10 inches above the bench he is laying on. Those are to catch the bar if it goes too low, he would then be able to squirm out from under the bar to either side. might bruise him a slight bit but nothing too risky to be honest.
