We stand in solidarity with Prabir Purkayastha | P. Sainath

On April 6th, opposition leaders, activists, and journalists expressed solidarity with Prabir Purkayastha, the founder of NewsClick.
Purkayastha was arrested following raids on Newsclick in October of last year. A program was organized at Surjit Bhawan in Delhi to mark the six-month completion of Purkayastha's arrest.
Among those who expressed solidarity with Purkayastha were CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, senior journalist P. Sainath, Aam Aadmi Party leader Gopal Rai, CPI general secretary D. Raja, CPI(M) party leader Brinda Karat, and other activists and leaders.
