You guys rock! Thank you guys, this was special to me cause I used to live in Amsterdam and it will always have a special place in my heart. I'm glad to see that it still has a lot of wilderness cause unfortunately between all these shopping centers and crime, many of these places change so much. But then again that's true throughout the U.S. Anyway you guys made my day, and I never knew so much about these Locks until now, so thanks again and be safe. Love your dog, adorable.

I grew up in Amsterdam, New York until I left for the Navy back in 1985. I don’t really miss it that much, but I do miss Russo’s. Your video is awesome. The Pizza is phenomenal. All of their open faced sandwiches are awesome and the bread is to die for. Made me a little bit homesick. Definitely made me hungry.🤣🤣

Thank you for sharing your journey. You've done what I've dreamed of. I'm in awe of your journey and more specifically the meals created along the way. I know some 5 star restaurants would love to have a chef as creative as she is. Being a sailor at 64 years of young I've learned a few things about menus on board while underway. I can cook a 7 course meal in less than 15 minutes. But my culinary skills are nothing to what I've seen in your videos. ( my 7 course meal consists of a hot dog and six pack.) It's my understanding that you have left the boat life and continue your journey on land. I totaly support that and I am amazed that such young individuals have chosen to pursue such a life style. I've been admonished by family for being of a free spirit but the knowledge obtained along the way is priceless. Should you be open to adopting a 64 year old that's house broke let me know. Just kidding and hope I made you laugh. Safe travels.

Don't take this as a "downer" txt. I'm just preparing myself for when the time comes to bid you farewell. Although I am usually 3 days behind your vlog, I know you are really getting closer to completing the Loop. It isn't fair for me to expect this trip to continue. Everything has it's own time/season. I'm beginning to feel like the people in Mudville when mighty Casey struck out. SAD, very sad. You will be missed and I want you to know you've touched my heart. I'll never get to meet you personally, but I won't forget you. Now on a happier note: this was really a great video. I think it was the most comfortable I've seen both of you. You said it yourself how much you've learned in your travels along the Loop. Hopefully boating will be a part of your future. The best part of this video was watching Ollie the Wonder Dog running freely. I understand the joy of seeing your best boat dog doing what a dog should do. FREEDOM to run. I love it when my own dog Katie has an opportunity to just take off chasing the wind. I doubt I'll ever get to have a boat of my own, but it has been and is a pleasure following your travels. Stay safe and remember to savor each and every day. Even the difficult days will have something good to remember and bad times fade as you grow older. Sometimes I think everyday has been wonderful. That's the benefit of older age (hate to say "old age"). Ha Ha. Later. Semper Fi.

Thanks so much Tom, its very kind and sweet of you. Our love for "embracing the pivot" will continue to further adventures and quite possibly another go at the Loop. All we can do is enjoy the moment because thats all we have! Cheers 😁

By far, the Erie Canal...well actually, the whole New York Canal system is one of my very favorite boating experiences! As you've said, very relaxing, including the locks I'll add. Oh...the 'federal number' you referenced is the USCG vessel reg number...right?!? Skunks have keen smell and are attracted to human food. Anyhoo...enjoying your videos - thanks for sharing! Safe travels. Cheers...
