Daz, we see you with your insane production level. Like, I feel like this could have been on Travel Channel back in the day. It's so well done and polished. I really would love to see tall do more caving experiences, and more extreme and unique airbnb type adventures. Because this looked like so much fun. I think the way this company does it is very safe and well done. This is providing an amazing experience and I think it's awesome that someone made an air bnb down a slate mine. That is so cool. I think the company doing this is doing it right. Keep groups small. It's not for everyone, yer gonna need to be able to handle the hike in and out and the absailing and all that. They make sure to have experienced ppl running the show and make sure things are safe. I think this is probably a cavers dream vacation, most certainly. The little air bnb space seemed magical, but also had callbacks to the mine it once was, and that just brought more charm to it. Ya'll running this adventure are brilliant. You've created such an amazing place deep down in the earth for ppl to go and try out and appreciate what miners and cavers do, if they aren't ones themselves. I think this is a one of a kind experience that ppl would be lucky to take part in.

@eleanorelf10 ай бұрын
@@Duncan_1971 that's absolutely not true, and actually quite a disrespectful comment. If you were to go in a mine such as that one, I think you'll find the owners take extremely good care of them. Truly more tidy and clean down those particular mines than above ground. Please don't say such hurtful things, especially when you know how unlikely that is. The company probably spent years building all of it from scratch. So much love and thought was probably put into planning Deep Sleep, and for you to suggest that they built it from the " mine junk " is so rude. Please consider not saying such disrespectful things like that. Besides, the toilet couldn't of come from the mine anyway because its far too modern from the times the mines were operating. And no, people can't dump stuff in there because if you didn't notice, the gate to the entrance is always locked. Another reason to prove that the owners take great precaution and time to ensure the mine stays clean and safe.

I didn't watch the whole video so I don't know if this was mentioned, but as someone who's researched the North Wales slate industry history intensively, Cwmorthin is one of the mines with a particularly bad safety record for rock fall during it's operation. Whilst the slate industry generally had a _crushing_ effect on human health, this place was referred to as "The Slaughterhouse" by locals. One particularly note-worthy detail in this context is the frequent collapses of the roofs inside the slate chambers, which can also be observed during a visit to the mine. There is substantial subsidence in the mountains above the mine, which can be observed during a hike. This area is generally very interesting to explore, for someone who is interested in the industrial history of North Wales, and a lovely landscape for hikes as well.

I disagree I think the falling would feel amazing (esp if it’s a long one), it’s the sudden violent stop that worries me. See I’ve fallen off a bush swing and was flung off a tyre swing when I was a child and nothing hurt until I impacted either ground ect. If pain or possible death wasn’t the outcome of falling I think it would be grand. Glass floors can bugger right off lol makes my feet hurt just thinking about stepping on one.
