Then Dotson's catch is the forgotten masterpiece. He reached around a defender to tap the ball over that said defenders head, to the cradle that ball all while falling to the ground at a very awkward angle. The NFL highlights on youtube didn't even give it a replay for some reason lol

For all the hype people throw out about a player's athletic ability when they pull something like this off, it's the MENTAL speed he displayed that really impressed me. After he avoided the second tackler with that spin move, he had just the last half of that spin to see all the defenders coming at them, realize the momentum of the spin was going to have him pointed at the other sideline or even back towards his own side of the field and wouldn't give him enough time to turn back around before he was tackled, and then come up with the only possible move he COULD make to get past the next defender... even though it was a move neither he nor anyone else had ever used. And his brain did all that in much less than a single second. The phrase, "that was all instinct" is really overused, but it absolutely fits here.

And that's why I don't agree with people who call it an 'insulting play'. There was no intent to insult (Golden Tate sideways somersault into the end zone was fully intended as a flex/insult) What Saquon did was peak, PEAK athletic instinct and ability.

I grew up watching Barry Sanders torch my favorite team twice a season. This was reminiscent of what he did. Saquon is a beast. Running backs deserve way more respect and a bigger piece of the pie. There aren't many running backs that can do what saquon did and still be able to pick up a blitz, but saquon can do it all. Not only that but dude can run routes as well as some of the top WRs in the game. I don't think I know one real Giants fan that was happy about them letting saquon walk.
