I was wondering if you have a video covering the fact that the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was in the middle of the garden (according to Eve). Yet, both the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and the Tree of Life were both described as being in the *midst* of the garden. I referenced both NASB2020 and ESV. I loved your video comparing the tree of life with the holy of holies, yet, I thought it wasn't the tree of life at the center of the garden...
@BahRod00 Жыл бұрын
@@siblingstation6902 Hi! Respectfully, it doesn't matter if it is in the midst or in the center. What is really important is what they represent. What is the message the author is trying to tell us? Wisdom... Life... God is both and we lost access because of our poor choices. We must seek GOD'S Wisdom (lean not on your own understanding) and we lost access to LIFE, one of the reasons Jesus had to come. He came so that we have life, something we don't deserve. He paid our debt in full. You can view the reference to the trees in the Genesis videos. God Bless!

How come you didn't mention that the Fruit of the Tree of Life (who is Jesus Christ Himself) is now offered to people as the Bread and Wine in the Holy Communion: "While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you." Jesus didn't say this is "like" my body, He didn't say the parable or a metaphor, He literally said: this IS my body. And as Jesus is the Fruit from the Tree of Life, so is His body and blood in the Holy Comunion. The fact that people call themselves Christians, and reject the Fruit of Life is mind boggling.

I always interpreted it as a choice. Think “academia” or “life” Both provide knowledge. Just in different forms. It’s your choice but like in the Bible, filling your head with abstract concepts instead of experiencing them is a “dead-end”. Take learning when it comes because it always does. God is Good. Period. What He says goes. “Knowledge of good and evil” is determined by God alone, hence when people try to determine for themselves based on their “knowledge”, they wander the desert. Jesus is God on Earth, with all the limitations inherent there in. Empathy. He surrounds Himself with Apostles for a reason. He is the ultimate Judge of Good and Evil. That’s why he asked, “Why do you say I’m good?” It is not for anyone else to Judge. Only GOD

However the Bible makes it very clear that Yehwah is the One true God who created all things (including all other spiritual beings) and that He alone is deserving of all worship and reverence) It’s true that the angles serve God and direct people to worship Him but the fallen spiritual beings all want nothing more than to be worshiped by humans and sadly many humans do worship them by the way they live. These are the powers of darkness, rulers and principalities that Paul informs believers are the true enemy of the church and not people (flesh and blood). Luka Iremadze Hebrews 9:12 once for all time (ephapax) not for all people but ONCE (temporal). Hebrews 10:3 a “reminder” (anamnesis) only other place besides the book of Hebrews that it’s used coincidentally is during communion when Jesus says do this in (anamnesis) in remembrance. So when the early Christians were doing “communion” is was as a symbol a (anamnesis) not the literal body and blood of Christ. Again Romanism is a cancer with love I say these things.

@@nazarethgarcia1541 I take my previous comment. this is a bigger topic than I can argue. But basically what your saying is all the early Christians had it wrong and if it was not for Luther, Christianity lived in deciet. With the best of my knowledge I'll try to address your citations. Yes Christ offered his body as sacrifice once and for all. When we commune we are not sacrificing Christ again, so none of those verses contradict the Eucharist... Rather we become partakers of His already sacrificed body and blood as gift for us. You are what you eat. Eat Christ and become Christ in grace.

It's even worse when Preachers will tell you "God spoke to them" because I don't know whether I can trust if that's true or if it's just confirmation bias on their part. Bottom line: read The Bible for yourself in as many translations as you can. And please don't read just 1: context can change between translations. Romans 10:9: "that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 14:11: "It is written: “As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before Me; every tongue will confess to God.” 1 Corinthians 15:28: "And when ALL things have been subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will be made subject to Him who put ALL THINGS under Him, so that God may be ALL IN ALL." These people with all their beautiful imagery are hiding two important things: 1.The salvation of all and - 2.The fact that revelation deals NOT with symbols but a coming tribulation and an alien invasion: excerpt from Revelation: "And I saw three unclean spirits that looked like FROGS coming out of the mouths of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. These are demonic spirits that perform signs and go out to all the kings of the earth, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God, the Almighty." The Garden of Eden seems to be no longer on earth, but taken up by God to heaven until the great controversy is over. Through evolution of our culture, our definition and understanding of a language changes. This is perhaps why the pharisees misunderstood Jesus intention. Jesus saw that need to tell stories through parables so the generation could get a new fresh perspective on the essence of what God tried to tell them in the first place. Generations has passed since then and history repeats itself, and it makes me happy to see the bible project telling the stories of the bible in visual parables so our current generation can get a new fresh perspective on the essence of what God tried to tell us in the first place. In Jesus, there is hope, life, truth, and way to be near closer to God than we could ever imagine and instead of our own understanding and strength. Throughout the stories in the bible when there is chaos, Jesus came in life and showed us the unconditional love God gives to us for free and Jesus became our friend, Lord and Savior when we accept Him that whoever believes in Him shall not perished but have eternal life. May God bless us all!! this is truly a heartwarming video thank you for making this 💗

Revelation 22 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

I don't wish to bother you, I just want to tell you that there is a thing called Messianic Judaism, which is a great thing IMO because you as Jewish don't need to be a part of any Christian church in order to follow Jesus Christ - since you're Jewish, if you ever wish so you can join other Jewish people and follow Jesus, have a nice day.

That is correct. And whether the Bible is a metaphor or a factual representation of material events is irrelevant. In both cases Jesus is right about everything and that is what makes Him God, whether the jews like it or not. Judaism is the continuation of the traditions of men as opposed to the rule of God and it is those traditions of men that are marching this world to destruction. It is because Maimonides explains the Bible as mere allegory that the jews afford themselves the authority to weave reality into whatever narrative they like. If you believe that judaism is benign and harmless then you are mistaken; judaism is satanism in its purest form. This is not an indictment of you as a person but an appeal to your soul as a human being. It is that appeal that God wants us to make upon each other and it is through the human form of Jesus that God revealed Himself to us so that we could understand what the image of God in human form is like. You truly will become born again when you realize how important Jesus is in the history of mankind and its fate. When you understand His importance, you will understand what is going on in the world.

Thank you, Bible Project, you’ve been an answer to prayer. I don’t think I’ve ever anticipated a video more than this one; because I ’ve been following the podcast on the trees, design patterns, and poetry, which inspired me to write this poem to crystalize what I’m trying to learn from God’s Word. Blessings from Guam, keep fighting the good fight! _After Eden_ There is a tree in the garden. Beautiful of sight. The sky begins to darken Lost in the light. So a choice was given, And a choice was taken. A bitter truth to reckon, A ruins God-forsaken. The Tree of Life is hewn. The stench of death is burning. The seed of sin blooms. The hand of time is turning. There is a tree in the garden. A cherub bars the way. Lock the cell, the warden Threw the key away. An angelic deathwatch Its two-edged sword aflame. Where is the night watch? For innocence is slain. Elysium has fallen, And Paradise is lost. Our freedom was stolen, And life was the cost. There is a lamb on the altar And a beast in the field If its prey shall falter Sin will have its fill two brothers enter the field Yet only one returned So blood has been spilled An offering is unburned. There is an ark on the waters. Let the old world drown. Only Noah’s sons and daughters Shall be spared the sound Of the thunder of God With the storm and flood. To end man, so flawed, For water mingles with blood, The Ark sits upon the mount. The war bow is laid down. Promise springs from the fount, And mercy shall abound. A new home takes root, So rejoice and rest. Let vineyards bare fruit For begins another test. There is no lamb on the altar The son shall take its place Resolve must not falter Yet the father hides his face He trembles at the thought His knife glistens in the sun Undo what has been wrought And take the life of your son. There’s a tree alight the summit The angel bright within The air grows grave and quiet A fiery apparition Oh, exiled Prince “I have heard their cries My power evince My people baptize. Moses, take thy staff. Wonders I will show, Until Pharaoh shall at last Let my people go.” There is a cloud aflame the peak A pillar of smoke enthroned. Shema, Jehova speaks, “Israel shall be my own This covenant shall bind Inscribe it in stone, Brand your soul and mind. I Am your God alone.” A false god invades the camp. People hearts are turned Dark swallows the lamp The Lord’s anger burns The priest took the gold Made idols on their behalf Whorring, their bodies sold And forged the golden calf “Unsheath not the sword. My God, stay thy wrath. Blot out my name, Oh Lord.” “Moshe, take thy staff. Let their sin turn to venom, And fire fill their veins. This is the day to reckon And earth be split in twain Yeshua, take the staff. See the flower bloom. Split the sea in half, And lead my people through. There is a thief in the midst. Who hath taken the profane. Tell me who thou didst, Whose conscious hath wane? “It was I who saw the gold And coveted the spoils For temptation took hold Entangled me in its coil.” There is a king amongst the crowd Desired above all A man strong and proud Anoint the one called Saul The lot is cast Jericho is falling As a ghost from the past The shadows crawling Whispering in his ear They desire thy throne So love turns to fear The King dies alone. There is a woman in the garden Beautiful of sight Tenderly, her fruit glistens The King desires her tonight Its sweet flesh turns pale A poison apple to bite So death peers through the veil A sin covered by night There are two lovers in the garden Where passion and wisdom meet The last remnant of Heaven Of the tree, did they eat For man and life The Mother of All Folly and strife After Eden, The Fall There is an altar upon the hill. A tree of crimson thorns By His blood, we are healed For this, He was born The Father hides His face The veil is torn This is the price of grace The son forlorn His throne is the grave. His glory is living. So Emmanuel saves For those believing. There is a tree in the garden. It stands in your way. Bearing your guilt and pardon. Choose: rebel or obey. You’re at the crossroad A moment eternal Let truth unfold Rebirth or Inferno The tree is in your life. Will you kneel before the Cross? This final sacrifice Give Him your shame and loss. Awake to the new Heaven and Earth See the river beside the tree. Witness redemption’s rebirth, And taste the fruit of eternity.

In the opening pages of the Bible, humanity is portrayed as God's royal partner, his divine image. God orders a sacred space where heaven and earth are one, and then makes eternal life available to humans by means of a tree. While many throughout history have imagined this as a magical tree that imparts eternal life, the biblical story paints a bigger picture. Sacred trees that offer divine life were a major theme in religious art of ancient Egypt and Babylon. But in the Garden of Eden, the tree is located at the central hot-spot of sacred space, the "holy of holies" of this heaven and earth place (see Gen 2:9). The fact that the tree of life is in the middle of sacred space means that the life it offers is not inherent to the tree, but a divine gift that comes through the tree. The tree of life imparts God's own life, and to be near it and eat from it is to be near to God and to ingest his own life power and presence. Or, in the words of Genesis 3:22 "to take and eat and live forever." But sadly, humanity is exiled from this tree because of a foolish quest for divine wisdom, and so they find themselves outside the garden in a realm of mortality and grief, longing to return. In the family of Abraham, this divine human meeting place was recovered in Israel's tabernacle and temple. These structures housed holy places, the hot-spot of God's presence where a new humanity met with God in a heaven and earth space (see Exodus 25:22). These rooms were designed with a tree-like lampstand (see Exodus 25:31-40) and with trees all around (see 1 Kings 6:29). It was a renewed Eden, but sadly the family of Abraham replays the Eden story, as they try to recreate their own version of the tree of life. Think of the many 'high places' where Israel worships other gods at the foot sacred trees (see Deut 12:2; 1 Kings 14:23; 2 Kings 16:4). Eventually, God allows these sacred spaces to be destroyed and lets the Israelites be exiled from their sacred home (see 2 Kings 24-25). This entire story is the context for understanding the arrival of Jesus and his message about the coming of God's kingdom on earth as in heaven. He said that God's heavenly presence was arriving on earth through him and his mission. And he often likened this to a huge tree, growing and spreading in surprising ways (Matthew 13:31-32). Jesus even claimed to be a tree of life, a vine that offers God's life to the world (see John 15). But in a sad inversion, the leaders of Abraham's family kill Jesus on what they think is a tree of death. But because of God's love, which is stronger than humanity's evil, God transformed the cross into a tree of life. Whoever eats from this new tree of life, that is, whoever trusts Jesus and follows him (see John 6:41-58), will discover the gift of God's eternal life. This is why the story of the Bible concludes with a renewed creation, a garden-city with a new tree of life at its center (Revelation 22:1-2), which is also the throne of God and the risen Jesus (Revelation 21:22). The whole story of the Bible can be told as a story about trees: from the tree of life to the tree of death, which becomes a new tree of life that sprouts into a new creation. Love is the fulfillment of the law. It’s by grace and faith that I will eat of it one day. I’m a Christian because God had mercy on my life. God spoke to me on a Sunday evening saying “I am” four days later I was invited to a prayer meeting and a brother in Christ laid his hand on me and I fell to the ground shaking and twitching on the floor. He said “ in the name of Jesus Christ let him go! And I let out a loud ugly scream and I started crying and first thing I did was forgive after that. The Holy Spirit came over me a month later after three days of fasting. So you come here with legalism and try to say we call ourselves something we’re not? Man if you only knew how hard it was for me to believe in God. I usted to be like an atheist. Like any religious text, the bible conveys deeply rooted truths about the human condition in the form of myth. The people who wrote these stories some 2000 years ago were more or less the same as us today, so all of these symbols - symbols that are ingrained in our psyche - speak to us just like they did to millions of people throughout the centuries. You will find the use of symbols in any great work of art - just look at our vast canon of literature, poetry and music. So many great works that speak to us in a very deep way. All of these things are, afterall, very human attempts at trying to figure out life, dealing with love, fate and death and seeking redemption, in this case in a celestial acceptance of suffering as the precondition of renewal.
