I do the same thing with my family, stockings, books, breakfast, gifts. My son’s name is Matthew, since his birth I’ve called him Matchu Pichu. 2 years ago he traveled to Peru with his wife. My phone screen is of the 2 of them standing on Matchu Pichu. Enjoy your trip.

There are so many things I love about this video gift that I'm going to start listing them now, even though I'm still mid-way through the video: a) that you kept it a secret so that I could go ahead and guess with the children - it's so fun to be a part of this surprise from the guessing end! b) how it became an activity that got everyone moving, and the children who need to run around a lot, did just that. c) How Daniel was the one who was drawn to the trees and it was his present. Also how it was Pearl who said "attic" when it was her gift. Just a lovely bit of synchronicity that couldn't be planned. d) When the children ran to the mailbox and Mike said "I'm not running out there..." - ummm, Mike, you already did that the night before!! e) Even though I saw you renovating the RV and wrapping Eve's clue, it only hit me as I watched this how lovely it was that Eve got a travel Barbie and an RV for her to travel in! And finally, while I'm sorry about the stew meat getting burnt, I'm grateful to you for sharing your fails, and how you dwell on them just like we all do - it's so consoling for me to know it happens to the best of people!! I used to to a treasure hunt for my nephew and niece. The oldest pushed everyone else away and read the messages to himself. He was not a nice child and his family had to deal with his issues as his parents never disciplined. He was so rude to my Mum all the time and my half sister just let her son be rude and sly. It got so bad that we no longer have contact (obviously a whole lot more happened).

Fun video, I'm sure you'll have a great trip! I'm looking forward to exploring Peru "with" you. :) This was the best Christmas I've ever had! We got dreadfully sick and all our holiday plans had to be cancelled. We basically holed up and coughed all through Christmas and we still are... BUT, it was the first Christmas we've ever celebrated with our daughter! After years of praying, we were blessed with Beatrice, last March. She's crawling, getting into everything and is the greatest gift my husband (who is 47 and thought fatherhood would never be a gift he received) and I could ever ask for! I hope all of your Christmases were as full of joy and gratitude as ours was. :)

that scavenger hunt was SO EPIC and reminds me a lot of what my aunts used to do for my sisters and I when we were younger. my one aunt has passed away, so this really brings back some happy memories for me. THANK YOU. It also brings happy memories because I was blessed to go on a two week mission trip to Lima, Peru about 12 years ago. I can't wait to see my beautiful country through your eyes. 😊💖. Hope you have a nice stay here in Peru. I was at Cuzco 1 month ago and my advice is, as soon as you land to Cuzco, drink a lot of coca tea and try to rest. At first altitude might not affect you but it can be a little tricky, so dont underestimate the food you eat( I recommend you to eat light just the first day) and the rate you are walking(try to go in one rate). Also I have 2 friends that reacently went to Machu Picchu and it's a little foogy right now in the mountains but be patience and wait like 10 to 15 minutes and the fog will go away and all of you can have the famous picture with that beautiful mountain😊💖 . Yes I did!! I'm from Peru. Actually you are going to visit the 3 regions of Peru: the coast (Lima, Ica), the mountains (Cusco, Puno) and the jungle. I recommend the coca tea so that the height does not affect you (Cusco/Puno) and some repellent for the jungle.

I Love Peru. I have been there many times and am planning on going 2-3 years to see different cities. My husband is from Peru, you will love it. The only thing I suggest you bring is doterra digestzen and anything else that might help with travelers disease. Have a Wonderful Time and looking forward to the videos!!!
