Dragonfruit is a hard fruit to grow because the cacti it's harvested from can be fully grown but if you don't know what you're doing it will never bear fruit. And because of that peculiarity, the fruit that does form can be vastly different from plant to plant. My dad grows his own and it's worlds different from store sold ones. It doesn't get overly sweet but it has a gentle sweetness that makes the fruit very satisfying to eat so if you've never had sweet dragonfruit from your local vendor then it's time to find another better outlet.
